Prince William: Charlotte Doesn’t Sleep, Baby Princess Causes Dad’s Tired Eyes
Prince William said that Charlotte doesn’t sleep, and that she is doing a great job keeping him up at night.
According to People Magazine, the father of two talked about his new Princess when he met with the England women’s soccer team earlier today. Of course everyone wanted to know how life with a toddler and a newborn is going — so they asked!
“All the girls were asking how Princess Charlotte is and Prince George and whether they keep him up all night. He was saying he’s obviously really enjoying being a father and Princess Charlotte is actually keeping him up – and probably why his eyes are looking a little bit tired,” said team captain Steph Houghton.
Prince William brought Charlotte and his family (wife, Kate Middleton and son, Prince George) to Amner Hall a few days after bringing the baby home from the hospital. There, they have been adjusting to life as a family of four. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the couple has requested privacy from the media as they enjoy this special time together.
Having a toddler (who “never stops moving!”) and a newborn can be challenging, but the couple has a lot of help. Kate’s mother, Carole, is said to be lending a hand, entertaining Prince George, and assisting with Princess Charlotte’s diaper changes whenever she can. While Prince William is participating in some royal engagements, he isn’t going back to work until next month, so he’s home to help too.
“[The Duke of Cambridge] said he’d had a few sleepless nights. The baby will be up and George is running around now isn’t he? It reflects that he does a normal life away from his duty as prince,” said soccer team member, Jill Scott.
Prince William was given a gift for Charlotte as well. According to Mail Online, the soccer team presented William with a personalized shirt for the Princess. It had her name on it, with the number “1” beneath. This is said to be the first personalized gift that the Princess has received.

Kate Middleton and Prince William haven’t shown baby Charlotte to the world since she was born. Many are expecting that formal photos will be taken and released to the public within the next couple of months.
