WWE News: Update On Hideo Itami And Sami Zayn For WWE NXT Takeover: Unstoppable
Tomorrow night, WWE NXT will take over the screens of millions on the WWE Network when NXT Takeover: Unstoppable hits the airwaves at 8 p.m. On the docket are a series of great matches that won’t disappoint. Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks are going for the NXT Women’s championship. Baron Corbin will take on Rhyno. Enzo Amore and Big Cass battle Blake and Murphy for the NXT Tag-Team championship.
Then, there were two matches that were bound to have the WWE Universe on their feet at Full Sail University. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were scheduled to face-off for the NXT championship. Also, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami, and Tyler Breeze were supposed to fight for a NXT title shot at NXT Takeover: Unstoppable.
Unfortunately, with the risk of professional wrestling already at a high, a few injuries were sustained in the past few weeks. Sami Zayn hurt his shoulder before his match with John Cena on WWE Raw a few weeks ago. Hideo Itami also hurt his shoulder, which was said to be more serious. Now, the topic of discussion is on their status for NXT Takeover: Unstoppable. According to WrestleZone, Hideo Itami and Sami Zayn’s status for Takeover reveals good and bad news.
“Triple H noted that Itami will be appearing on the show, but due injury he has not been cleared to wrestle and has been pulled from the card.”
“As noted, Sami Zayn has been cleared to compete tomorrow night and will be facing Kevin Owens as scheduled.”
The news that everybody basically expected, Hideo Itami cannot wrestle tomorrow night at Full Sail. His match with Finn Balor and Tyler Breeze expected to steal the show at NXT Takeover: Unstoppable. Unless Samoa Joe takes the place of Itami, it will be a one-on-one match between Breeze and Balor. Either way, the match will still be incredible.
Both men are ready for their feud with Kevin Owens, granted he wins his match against Sami Zayn tomorrow night. Zayn’s injury had to have healed enough for the WWE doctors to clear him for competition. There’s no way Zayn is 100 percent healthy, but the WWE is very strict with their WWE superstars, so if Zayn is cleared, he can compete.
WWE NXT is becoming so good that their popularity is off the charts. Finn Balor isn’t even the story of the card, but he’s still the most popular wrestler in WWE NXT. Kevin Owens’ segment on WWE Raw made his presence felt to the mainstream WWE fans. For the ones that don’t know WWE NXT, they found out after Owens called out John Cena. Tomorrow night is NXT Takeover: Unstoppable, so be prepared for nonstop action.
