Food Network’s Alton Brown And DeAnna Brown Officially Divorced

The Food Network star, Alton Brown, is officially divorced from his wife, DeAnna Brown. According to E! the host of Iron Chef finalized his divorce from his wife.

The Browns have been apart since 2014. It’s believed that Alton Brown is the one that filed for divorce around late 2014, while he was in his hometown in Georgia.

According to a source, who spoke with E!, Alton was very unhappy, and this wasn’t a shock to many, as their marriage was coming apart “for awhile.”

All throughout his marriage, Alton kept busy with speaking tours, cooking shows, which all were blamed for his divorce.

Alton Brown has appeared on Feasting on Asphalt, Feasting on Waves, Iron Chef America, and Cutthroat Kitchen. He has also written a few books on cooking.

With how mainstream cooking has become in the media, and cooking reality shows popping up left and right, it doesn’t look like Alton Brown is slowing down his busy schedule anytime soon. He opened up to Men’s Journal about how the culture around food has shifted since his debut in 1998.

“For every person that I meet that thanks me for teaching me how to cook, I probably get at least as many saying, ‘Gee, I don’t really cook but now I’m more aware of ingredients.’ My personal belief is yet more people are cooking with a more diverse range of ingredients, based on the people I see in grocery store. Of course, something we have to address is that there’s still a miserable poverty situation where a lot of people don’t have access to those ingredients still.

I will say that now, people seem to be more aware of where their food is coming from. That’s part of marketing. Twenty years ago, people went into a restaurant and ordered oysters. They didn’t care necessarily where they came from. Now it’s part of the narrative of the food.”

As far as his marriage with DeAnna Brown goes, he hasn’t publicly spoken about their problems or their divorce. That said, Alton and DeAnna share a 15-year-old daughter named Zoey.
