Post-Big Sean Breakup, Ariana Grande Fires Back At Nathan Sykes Dating Rumors
Ariana Grande and Big Sean have been broken up for over a month now, and fans want to know what’s next for the “My Everything” singer.
In the meantime, Ariana herself has been inundated with rumors regarding her and ex-beau Nathan Sykes, and the possibility the pair could be getting back together. Well, according to Hollywood Life, that just simply isn’t the case.
“We’re all really confused as to why Nathan keeps saying that he and Ariana talk so much,” a source said while discussing Nathan’s recent interviews. “They don’t talk to each other at all.”
The article did mention though “that there are no hard feelings” and that Grande only had “good things to say” about Nathan when he’s a topic of conversation. But aside from that, it’s a stark contrast to the picture Nathan Sykes, formerly of The Wanted, painted in a recent interview.
As reported by Inquisitr, when asked about Ariana Grande’s break up with Big Sean — and their own break up following a year of dating — Sykes seemed to intimate that the two were rekindling their romance. When asked in a recent interview with Wonderwall if Sykes and Grande are still in contact, Nathan replied that they are — all the time, in fact. Sykes also went into detail over his breakup with Ariana.
“It’s like, when some things don’t work out they don’t work out. Long distances and stuff like that. On different schedules and touring in different parts of the world. It’s like sometimes it doesn’t happen so easily.”
He finished up the interview by saying he was “painfully single,” sparking the rumor that he and Grande were rekindling their relationship, which we just learned is not true.
One other potential rumor involving the former teen pop stars that does have legs, apparently, is the possibility that the pair will perform another duet together. Ari and Nathan got together to record the song “Almost Is Never Enough,” which was featured on the Mortal Instruments soundtrack in 2013. Hollywood Life is reporting that the pair are contractually obligated to duet on a second song, as per terms in the agreement.
One person who may not like the sound of that is Big Sean himself. According to Beauty World News, the 26 year-old rapper is still heartbroken over their break up, and the last thing he’d want to see is her with anyone else.
“After dating for eight months, Ariana Grande and Big Sean decided to call it quits on their relationship, blaming it on their busy schedules. However, reports claimed that there was a lot of ‘selfish’ and ‘immature’ behavior, but whatever the reason is, it looks like the ‘Paradise’ rapper is regretting the split.”
