Teacher Allowed Intercourse In School Closet, Boy’s Mom Reports Him
Quentin Wright is in custody after the teacher allowed students to have sex in a school storage closet. Wright, 25, was a teacher at Champion Theme Middle School in Stone Mountain, Georgia who permitted a boy to have sex with a girl in his classroom’s closet. The boy’s mother filed a complaint with the school and removed her son from classes there.
The boy’s mother told WSB-TV about the text messages that she read on her son’s phone. The exchanges between Wright and her son revealed the permission he was given to have sex in the school closet with another girl.
“He told my son you can have it from 7:30 to like 8:30. Did you tell the girl what’s going to happen? That she cannot tell anybody? Basically don’t tell anyone I’m allowing you to use my room.”
Wright supposedly told the kids to use a condom and a laptop to drown out the sounds of their commotion.
The accused educator was a math teacher and coach at the school.
Quentin Wright was taken into custody after texts were discovered by the boy’s unidentified mother last Thursday. She was shocked and adds that she found the texts to be “sickening and disheartening” because parents put their trust in school administrators and educators whenever they drop their children off at school. On Friday, she contacted the principal and the police about the teacher allegedly allowing students to have sex in his classroom closet. The boy’s mother also filed a complaint. The DeKalb County School District has since fired the 25-year-old for his alleged actions. The student’s mother was suspicious of Quentin Wright from the beginning because of a strange request he once made.
“He called me when the kids are at their eighth-grade prom and asked if he could come over and take pictures with the boys before the prom, and I said no,” the boy’s mom said.
WGCL-TV reports that the school fired Wright for his “inappropriate conduct and communications of a sexual nature with students.”
The teacher’s mother — Joyce — disputes all allegations against him.
“They’re trying to ruin his career as an educator. I am very hurt and very upset that this whole thing has come out. He said, ‘Mom, there is no way, no way I would do anything like that.’ He is very upset about it, he’s very upset, because he cared a lot.”
After Quentin Wright was taken into custody, he was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to an incident report from DeKalb County Schools.
After doesn’t believe the charges against her son who allegedly allowed students to have sex in the school closet will actually stick.
“He loved his students he would never do anything to harm his students. If you had asked any of the students how Mr. Wright has loved them, cared for them and been a good teacher, a good mentor, they would all say he was a great teacher.”
