Eva Longoria’s Sheer Gown: Actress Is The Latest Cannes Head Turner
Eva Longoria’s sheer gown has people talking. Eva made the daring fashion choice before she stepped onto the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday, according to Daily Mail. The 40-year-old actress attended the premiere for Inside Out in a sheer silver gown from designer Gabriela Cadena.
The gown featured a plunging bosom, but that is not what had people doing a double take as Eva made her appearance on the red carpet. The sheer panels ran the entire side of her dress. Those sheer panels made it clear to everyone that saw her at the event that she was completely bare underneath her dress.
Hollywood Life called her dress for the Inside Out premiere one of the “sexiest looks from the film festival.” At a previous Cannes premiere, Eva Longoria stepped out wearing a “ruffled Atelier Versace gown.”
The actress showed off her sheer gown by sharing a photo of herself on her Twitter account.
Loved my gown and jewels on tonight’s red carpet! Thank you @gabrielacadena and @lorraineschwartz pic.twitter.com/2pMCQR8BqF

Eva did make news for more than her dress at Cannes this week though. This is the first year that the event has banned selfies on the red carpet. That did not stop Eva from joining Aishwarya Rai for a selfie during the Carol premiere. She had taken other photos throughout the night as well.
The decision to ban selfies on the Cannes red carpet was revealed last month, according to Daily Mail Online. Thierry Frémaux, the Cannes festival director, gave his reasons behind the selfie ban in a statement.
“We are waging a campaign to slow down the contemporary practice of selfies on the red carpet and the steps. Beyond what we think, it’s a practice that’s often extremely ridiculous and grotesque. We have a certain amount of time to get people across the red carpet and up the steps and it really slows things down if people stop every two meters to take a picture of themselves, with themselves.”
Eva’s sheer gown is not the first of the Cannes Film Festival. According to a previous Inquisitr report, Natalie Portman also hit the Cannes red carpet in a sheer gown that showed off her behind, but she did have something on underneath unlike Longoria. Portman wore the dress for the premiere of her film, A Tale of Love and Darkness. Natalie both stars in and directs the film.
As for Eva, she’s showing that her beauty is only getting better with age. However, Longoria is definitely keeping busy these days. The actress has a new television series set to arrive on the small screen next season.
Hot and Bothered will arrive on NBC as a mid-season series, according to Fashion & Style. Longoria spoke about the series at a recent event.
“Our show is not a Latin show. The perspective is basically mine. It’s about a telenovela star who doesn’t speak Spanish. I don’t speak Spanish, but I have strong ties to my culture. That’s what we’re trying to do. It’s a mainstream show that has lots of Latin culture.”
This new series is not a new project for the actress. It is something she has been working on for a while now, and it is a project that she is very passionate about and ready to share with television audiences.
According to the Huffington Post, Longoria revealed more about the history of the series in a recent interview.
“We’ve been producing and developing it for about two years. The show is so funny and I love my cast and crew. Going back to television in this climate in which the way people view content is so different. That’s going to be interesting. Social media is such a big part of our lives now, which it wasn’t then. So it’s going to be fun.”
NBC has released a synopsis for the series. The description reveals that the comedy will be filled with fun drama.
“If you think the steamy sex, sensational scandals and heart wrenching heartbreak on Latino soap operas are a little extreme, just wait until you see what happens behind the scenes! Eva Longoria stars in this new comedy about Ana Sofia, a sizzling TV superstar, and her lively family of cast and crew all competing to steal the spotlight. When the cameras turn off, the drama turns up as Ana battles pesky network execs, drunken scriptwriters, narcissistic co-stars and an unfortunately familiar new on-screen love interest.”
An exact premiere date for the series has not been released. What do you think of Eva’s sheer gown at Cannes? Will you tune in to watch Hot and Bothered on NBC?
