Justin Bieber Records ‘Sickest Song Ever’ In Late Studio Session Ahead Of Album Drop

Justin Bieber is bringing the motherload home. By which, we mean the 21-year-old’s much anticipated fourth studio album. Amid Beliebers’ mounting impatience and industry/media curiosity, the singer revealed he recorded the “sickest song ever” to fans waiting outside a Los Angeles recording studio this morning (May 19).

The fans — who numbered around 20 and regularly track Bieber in L.A. — took to Twitter after the impromptu 2.30 a.m. meet and greet to share their experiences.

Twitter user, Royalty Brown, recalled, “Justin was real excited saying he recorded like the greatest song tonight,” adding,”I screamed.”

That isn’t quite what Bieber told the fans. As can be heard on various fan-obtained videos posted of the same exchange (one of which is linked below), Bieber first explained his late studio exit before enthusing about the session.

“Don’t be mad at me,” the 21-year-old singer is heard saying apologetically in the clip amid amicable moans from the (no doubt) freezing fans. He continued, “Well, I’ve been working. I’ve been in the booth non-stop since I got here.”

An excited-sounding Bieber then added, “So, I’ve been killing it. I just did the sickest song ever.” He clarified, “Yeah, I did two songs tonight actually.”

And so on. In addition to fans’ tweets, the producer Soundz tweeted a series of pic reveals and messages about the session. In one, he revealed singer-songwriter Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, studio engineer Josh Gudwin, and DJ Tay James were also at the studio.

In another, he wrote, “Justin’s vocals sound so crazy right now..”

Missing from that roll call was Brit model Jayde Pierce, recently photographed hanging out with the Biebs over the weekend. The 19-year-old shared a Snapchat clip from the session which revealed a snippet of an unreleased song.

It features piano and Bieber singing the lyrics, “If my heart was…”

Bieber’s most recent studio date comes after his pre-Wango Tango performance reveal that his upcoming album is now at the “final touch stage.”

During an interview with L.A. radio station KIIS 102.7, the heartthrob said he worked in a studio with “Where Are Ü Now” collaborator, Skrillex, the day after attending the Met Gala in New York City on May 4. Further sessions followed every night in the week of May 11.

During those lab dates, another brief audio of Bieber’s new material surfaced. The Justin Timberlake-esque snippet follows.

Exciting stuff. Bieber’s new album is produced by Kanye West and Rick Rubin and will “possibly” include contributions from Jack Ü’s Skrillex and Diplo.
