Warning: This article contains spoilers for iZombie .
By all reports, this week’s episode of the CW’s freshman hit iZombie is going to have quite a bit going on, and Liv Moore (Rose McIver) is going to be in the center of it all. There’s going to be a case involving energy drinks and the brains of an alcoholic journalist. Meanwhile, iZombie ‘s subplot with Major investigating the missing street kids is going to take a troubling turn as well. Probably most important to iZombie fans everywhere is the one cliffhanger last week’s episode left us all pondering and that is: Did Lowell (Bradley James) die…for real?
Here’s alook at what this week’s iZombie has to offer.

The iZombie plot for “Mr. Berserk” is also pretty enticing.
“Liv and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) investigate the murder of a journalist working on a story linking psychotic episodes in a small number of consumers to the energy drink Max Rager. Liv goes straight to the top at Max Rager HQ and questions the man in charge, Vaughn Du Clark (guest star Steven Weber). Meanwhile, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) tries to help Major (Robert Buckley) who continues to believe he’s going crazy.”
The question came about from a series of events that began with iZombie ‘s number one villain, Blaine DeBeers (played to sinister perfection by David Anders). Last week’s installment of iZombie took fans on a roller coaster ride of emotions that began with Liv’s realization that Lowell was getting his supply of brains from Blaine’s growing gourmet brain business. Lowell made some valid points, as the two hashed out their feelings (After all, we can’t all work for the coroner’s office) and, in the end, Lowell proved himself worthy of Liv’s forgiveness. He even put himself at risk when Liv failed to pull the trigger at the crucial moment. Unfortunately, Blaine had the upper hand and this iZombie episode ended with the question of Lowell’s undead life hanging in the balance, but not before Lowell’s lip synced “I love you” to Liv broke the hearts of viewers everywhere.
TV Fanatics ‘ Whitney Evans sees no other option for the progression of iZombie ‘s overall plot to continue a smooth development:
“Even though I’m devastated, I think this death has to stick. This makes the battle against Blaine more personal than ever and we’ll all be rooting for Liv to get justice. I feel like Lowell wasn’t necessarily envisioned to be a long term option for Liv, but instead her first foray into dating after becoming a zombie. However, Bradley James has completely captivated the audience and it’s going to a blow to the fans if he’s really gone.”
When the next episode of iZombie airs Tuesday night, Liv eats the brains of a journalist with a drinking problem, which may be just what she needs to deal with the loss of Lowell. It should be equally interesting to see how Major’s story continues to develop and it should be growing obvious to iZombie fans that this storyline is heading directly for a confrontation between Liv and Major.
Sooner or later, isn’t Liv going to have to tell Major the truth?
iZombie airs Tuesday nights on the CW Network.
