Kendall And Kylie Booed At The Billboard Music Awards, Did They Deserve It?
Kendall and Kylie Jenner found out – rather rudely – that the audience was less than enthusiastic about their brother-in-law Kanye’s performance, getting loudly booed when they introduced him, Us Weekly is reporting.
Stepping onto the stage at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Kendall and Kylie got a smattering of cheers and applause from the crowd, but they were largely drowned out by the audible boos.

Ever the professionals, Kylie and Kendall soldiered on through their introduction, despite getting audibly booed. 19-year-old Kendall – who last year famously flubbed her introduction to Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer – let her younger sister do most of the talking, stepping in only at the end of the introduction to say her brother-in-law’s name. Us Weekly reports that an “insider source” at the awards claims that the A-list celebrities weren’t responsible for Kendall and Kylie getting booed – it was the riffraff in the upper decks. Unfortunately for the sisters, the crowd’s collective dislike of their family didn’t end with their introduction of their brother-in-law: Kanye’s performance was also strongly booed – although not as loudly as Kendall and Kylie were – and rightly so. His performance of “Al Day” and “Black Skinhead” was so dependent on pyrotechnics that the crowd, for the most part, couldn’t see him, according to The Daily Mail. And the crowd at home couldn’t hear him; ever the class act, Kanye relied so heavily on profanity during his performance that all the TV viewers got was an endless parade of bleeps.
The whole world hates Kendall and Kylie Jenner, it looks like. And I still hate Kanye. #Boo — Chase Ilsley (@thedirtymonster) May 18, 2015
USA Today entertainment writer Arienne Thompson seemed to have little sympathy for Kendall, Kylie, and Kanye.
“It’s no secret that plenty of people are kinda over the whole all-Kardashians all the time dynamic happening in pop culture these days.”
Celebrity writer Perez Hilton, however, didn’t think booing two young women whose only offense to the crowd was being related to Kanye, was the right move.
