LG G4 Release Date June 2 At T-Mobile, #G4Preview Tour, G4 Freebies

The LG G4 release date is set for June 2 at T-Mobile, and sometime in June for Sprint and U.S. Cellular. While fans wait, they can participate in the LG G4 Preview tour, which is already making its way cross-country, and get a glimpse of some of the freebies LG is reportedly giving away with each LG G4 sale in the United States.

Fans who are waiting for the newest iteration of LG’s flagship smartphone will finally be able to purchase one at the usual contract price of $199, or off contract for $600, starting June 2 at T-Mobile, according to 9to5Google.

Unfortunately, since 9to5Google reported the news of the LG G4 release date, LG has since removed the tweet, but not before copying the post URL confirming it was there.

Sprint and U.S. Cellular have also committed to a June LG G4 launch, though a specific release date is yet unavailable.

AT&T, Verizon, Best Buy, and Amazon.com have committed to selling the device too, according to LG, but again, this information comes without an official release or “available on” date.

While dedicated LG fans wait, LG is giving them a glimpse into the G4 and its features during the #G4Preview Tour currently making its way cross-country.

LG has started giving away LG G4 phones – complete with a month of service – at random events during the LG #G4Preview tour, according to LG’s Twitter feed.

LG has already given away a few of what it calls the “LG G4 Advance-Release Edition” smartphone.

To date, the LG #G4Preview tour has visited cities like Austin, and Houston in Texas, Tampa Bay, FL, and Atlanta, GA, among others, and is on its way to California now, with stops in Philadelphia, PA, and Boston, MA, planned in the future, among other cities.

LG is also giving away various LG G4 freebies to each buyer in the United States, according to Phone Arena, between May 22 and June 21.

The website at which fans can claim their LG G4 freebies is presumably still in development. According to the report, it will become available on May 22, while the promotion will reportedly run through June 21.

Available freebies with each LG G4 purchase reportedly include a replacement battery, a free microSD card, and a replacement charger free of charge.

Those who wish to take advantage of the freebie offers must visit the LG promotional website between those dates.

Phone Arena speculates that May 22 may be the day U.S. fans can start buying the LG G4. LG has not confirmed that this is the U.S. LG G4 release date, so this LG rumor remains as such.
