Is Avril Lavigne Finally Putting Divorce Rumors To Rest?
While Avril Lavigne has been battling the debilitating illness known as lyme disease, she and her husband have also been battings rumors of an impending divorce. But after posting some photos from her recent Miami vacation, Lavigne is hopefully putting those rumors to rest.
Lavigne recently tweeted that she was going to be sharing more on her Instagram account, and the Canadian rocker did not disappoint.

Lavigne and her husband of almost two years, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, recently took a much needed vacation to Miami and as promised, Lavigne shared a photo that Hello! Canada is saying will “put divorce rumors to rest.”
The “vacation selfie” shows the couple smiling and sticking out their tongues.

Despite the happy photos, the couple has endured never-ending rumors that they’re splitting. Before this photo was posted on Instagram, it had been over six months since the two had been pictured together.
The rumors seemed to begin shortly before Avril went M.I.A. Fox News reported in September that Kroeger was looking to split from his 10 year younger wife.
Fox News even said, “He [Kroeger] has been going around L.A. telling people that they are divorcing.”
As it turns out, though, much of the seeming separation was actually Lavigne’s serious sickness.
Kroeger recently shared, “I’m like, ‘OK the wife has come out and said this and now I don’t have to keep hiding…With everyone going, ‘What’s wrong with your wife?’ and me just going, ‘Ah, she’s going to be fine.'”
Kroeger and Lavigne originally met in August of 2012 and the two only dated for a month before he proposed to Lavigne. The two were then wed in the south of France in July 2013.
Besides battling lyme disease and constant rumors of divorce, Lavigne has also been working on some new music. Lavigne recorded a song, called “Fly,” with profits being donated to the Special Olympics.

Now that she has a diagnosis, Avril Lavigne appears to be returning to a more normal life with a hit song and what appears to be a marriage that is stronger than ever.
