‘Ninja Turtles 2’ Cast: ‘Boondocks’ Voice Actor Gary Anthony Williams To Play Bebop
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 cast is filling out, with the Michael Bay produced reboot giving us more of the characters we knew from the classic franchise. The latest addition has been around since the beginning, back when the turtles were still surfing the wave of early ’90s popularity.
Not everybody’s excited about the new film, but that’s expected these days. Michael Bay has made a name for himself that many film critics and others who consider themselves film critics refuse to remain optimistic about. Between the rushed Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (which Bay apologized for) and the Ben Affleck war movie Pearl Harbor, it’s tough to take him seriously.
This could be part of the reason behind his decision to leave the Hollywood spotlight. Even as a producer, Bay can’t seem to get a break from the negativity. It’s not stopping him from trying though.
The latest addition to the Ninja Turtles 2 cast is Gary Anthony Williams, who you might remember from his recurring role of Abe on Malcom in the Middle, and the voice of Uncle Ruckus from Boondocks. He will be playing the role of Bebop, the mutant warthog who does a lot of Shredder’s (Brian Tee) dirty work alongside the mutant rhino Rocksteady. His horned partner has yet to be cast.
Bebop will start out as a regular street tough working for Shredder, and as the classic 90s cartoon had it happen, he will mutate into a humanoid pig to take revenge on the heroes in a half shell.
With other fan favorite characters being cast in the movie, it appears that Shredder is taking his mutagen discovery to a new level. Bebop will be joined by the brainy fly mutant/mad scientist Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry).

The turtles won’t be without their own backup though. Arrow star Stephen Amell will be playing fan favorite Casey Jones, the mask-wearing vigilante who usually always ends up being a love interest for April O’Neil.
It might not be a contender for any awards, but Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 looks to be bringing back a lot of what we missed from the classic heroes in a half shell.
