‘Scandal’ Spoilers, Renewal News: Multiple Deaths, Twists, And Turns Ahead In Season 4 Finale

The Season 4 Scandal finale airs Thursday night on ABC, and from the sounds of things, viewers definitely need to brace themselves and keep tissues nearby. There have been plenty of twists and turns in this season already, but the latest Scandal spoilers indicate that the May 14 episode may be tough to top.

Thursday’s episode is titled “You Can’t Take Command,” and there’s a big showdown as Olivia and her team try to take out Rowan and B613 once and for all. Viewers were shaken to discover that Rowan, B613, Mellie, and “Foxtail” are now connected, but where are things headed?

This episode will show the results of Mellie’s election, and it is said that answers will come regarding the Gladiator versus Rowan battle. That may not be as simple as Olivia and her team conquering Rowan, but Scandal spoilers indicate that some sort of resolution comes in this episode.

However, it’s not all sunshine and daisies in this one, not that viewers would expect or accept that. Scandal spoilers indicate there will be multiple deaths in Thursday’s Season 4 finale. Kerry Washington teases via Entertainment Weekly, “This season’s finale is full of twists and turns that I never saw coming. No one is safe. No one is immune. It’s an old school Scandal whirlwind of shock and awe.”

Other cast members reveal that some characters will make huge decisions that may lead the viewers to see them quite differently. Huck is still fighting to get back to his family, and while he’s shown in the past that he is willing to do just about anything to achieve his goals, it sounds as if he may cross a line this week that manages to shock viewers. Would he kill someone close to him if it meant safely being with his family?

Will there be a cliffhanger in the Season 4 finale? According to some Scandal spoilers from Joshua Malina, who plays David Rosen, the answer is yes. There are resolutions ahead, but there are extremes developments along with both good and bad things ahead that will tantalize fans as they wait for Season 5.

Luckily, ABC has already dealt out the decision regarding a Scandal renewal or cancellation. The show will be back for Season 5 in the fall. While it’s too soon to know if it’s indicative of anything, it would appear that all of the major cast members were at the ABC upfront presentation this week.

Fans know that show creator Shonda Rhimes is vigilant about not letting much in the way of specific spoilers come out on her shows ahead of time, but it seems safe to say there are crazy moments ahead in this finale.

There hasn’t been much action between Olivia and Fitz this season, but they have a heartfelt conversation in Thursday’s Season 4 finale. What has many concerned, though, is that it feels a lot like a final goodbye.

Olivia tells Fitz she’s proud of him and she seems quite sad throughout the conversation. Between the music playing, the tears Liv is holding back, and the way she says goodbye, fans can’t help but wonder what leads up to what feels as if it’s a final goodbye from Liv to Fitz.

Of the deaths ahead, will any of them be significant characters that leave fans distraught? Will Olivia’s father, Rowan, be one of the casualties? Just how crazy will the episode be and how stunned will fans be as they are left hanging for Season 5?
