Gareth Bale was once again the subject of a torrent abuse as Real Madrid crashed out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage following their 1-1 draw with Juventus at the Bernabeu.
Last week, Juventus beat Real Madrid by two goals to one in Italy, and it was believed that Madrid’s impressive forward line of Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Gareth Bale would have too much for Juve’s ageing back-line. And while Benzema, who returned early from fitness for the encounter, performed admirably and Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the penalty spot, Gareth Bale missed a series of guilt edge chances.
These misses ultimately proved to be extremely costly as Madrid were unable to get the goal they needed to take the game into extra time. And after the final whistle rang out around the Bernabeu, abuse immediately started heading Bale’s way.

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. And if you’re Gareth Bale, you miss 100% of the ones you do take, too.

However, despite his disappointing performance in the Champions League semi-final, Bale admitted to Sky Sports , via Fox Sports , that he plans on learning from these mistakes, and they will only make him stronger in the long-run.
“There have been some ups and downs but personally I think I’ve played well. I’ve maybe not scored as many important chances as I’d like by my general play has been good. My finishing is not as good and that’s something to work on for next year. What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger and I’ll learn from this season and take it on.”
But where will Gareth Bale be next season? Because rumors are stating to heat up that he will actually move on to Manchester United in the summer.
While speaking on MUTV , via Metro , journalist John Richardson insisted that Gareth Bale’s transfer to Old Trafford is “almost a done deal,” information that he gathered from someone “very close” to the player. Richardson insists that Bale is “very unhappy there and he’s unhappy with his treatment” too.
