Paula Deen Lists Gorgeous 14,500-Square-Foot Savannah Estate At $12.5M
Foodies will surely love Paula Deen’s new offering. It’s not on any of the celebrity chef’s menus but you can easily spot it on recent real estate listings.
Now on the real estate market is the celebrity cook’s gorgeous Savannah, Georgia, mansion with an asking price of $12.5 million. Her vast estate spans for 5.5 acres and overlooks the Wilmington River. Outside, her manicured lawns are accented with lush greeneries and shady trees. The estate also has a refreshing pool which is equipped with a poolside movie theater.

The main feature of Deen’s Savannah property is the main house with a size of 14,500 square feet. The main house has a total of eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and one half bath.

Being owned by a celebrity cook, it has not only one but two kitchens: an indoor and an outdoor kitchen. As expected, both of Deen’s kitchens are furnished only with the finest of commercial grade appliances.

Aside from the main house, there are also two guest cottages and a barn on the property. If you are thinking that Deen has a farm inside her 5.5 acre property, then you are wrong. This barn is not what you have in mind. Although it also serves as a chicken coop, it also functions as an eight-car garage.
The estate’s exterior design follows a French provincial theme which is complemented by its traditional interior. Deen’s sprawling mansion is filled with traditional furniture which playfully combines soft, natural elements with neutral colors. Most of her furniture are made with hardwood which matches her wooden flooring.
Moreover, the property, which was built in 2009, also has a croquet court and dock house. It is also known by another name: “Riverbend.”

The said home was where Deen used to film her cooking shows for the Food Network, which she parted ways with back in 2013. She then continued on with her cooking career by launching her own online subscription last year. Likewise, the celebrity cook has also recently opened a restaurant which seats nearly 300 customers in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Last Tuesday, Deen’s spokesman Jaret Keller explained that the celebrity chef is selling her Savannah estate to switch to “an easier and simpler life.” Currently, Deen is keeping her primary residence in Georgia, but she has reportedly been looking through the New York real estate market for an apartment.
