Tim Tebow Traded To The New York Jets
The Mile High Messiah is heading to New York. Now that the Denver Broncos have Peyton Manning scheduled to start the 2012 season, Tim Tebow has been traded to the New York Jets.
NFL.com reports that the Jets traded a fourth and sixth round pick in order to add Tebow to the roster.
Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer wrote on Twitter:
“Breaking news: Ny Jets have just traded a 4th round pick for Tim Tebow.”
The New York Jets confirmed the news, writing:
“Jets have just announced they have agreed on a trade with Denver Broncos for QB Tim Tebow.”
SB Nation reports that Tebow’s good nature could go a long way to unite a divided Jets’ lockerroom. Gregg Rosenthal at NFL.com, however, disagrees. Mark Sanchez is still scheduled to start next year but once Sanchez screws up (it happens often) New York fans will be calling for a change in the quarterback position. Yep, New York is about to be torn apart by Tebowmania.
The Jets have also brought in Tony Sparano as offensive coordinator. Sparano put the wildcat formation on the field during his time as head coach of the Miami Dolphins and is expected to use Tebow in that capacity in 2012.
Do you think the Jets made the right choice by signing Tim Tebow? Will Tebow unite the Jets’ locker room or cause confusion as the Jets try to find a true leader?
