Jessica Simpson: ‘Pray For Me’ if Baby is a ‘Ten Pounder’

As Jessica Simpson enters what seems like her second year of pregnancy, the reality TV star admits that she is a bit apprehensive regarding giving birth to what appears to be a massive baby.

Every pregnant woman gets to the part of the baby-carrying where she kind of realizes in actuality that all of these numbers being bandied about translate to an actual human exiting her body, and it seems Simpson is at that point. Though she and fiance Eric Johnson have not disclosed a specific due date, there’s no way she can be pregnant that much longer, is there?

Of her baby’s size estimates (it should be noted here that no one should ever remark upon the size of the pregnant woman herself), Simpson admits she’s a bit terrified:

“At this point, I’m really ready… I’m not sleeping very well; she moves all the time. I had a great pregnancy, but I’m ready for it to be over!”

Simpson continues:

“It’s so much baby and so much amniotic fluid, it’s crazy… If we have a 10 pounder, pray for me!”

(Psssst, Jess… it’s not the amniotic fluid that hurts!) In preparation for the arrival of her baby, Simpson had a Charlotte’s Web-themed shower, where guests were treated to the Southern fare that the pop star favors- including fried Oreos and Fried Twinkies. The fete was designed to resemble the carnival theme from the book, and Simpson received many “frilly” gifts for her soon-to-be born baby girl.

While Simpson has been making hay of the pregnancy news in the media, she does also admit she’s ready to be done with it all, saying she “can’t wait to just hold [the baby] in [her] arms.”
