Bobbi Kristina Brown: Cissy Houston Blames Bobby Brown For Whitney’s Death As Family Preps To Bring Krissi Home
Bobbi Kristina Brown is currently in a long-term care facility with a grim prognosis, according to her grandmother Cissy Houston. But the 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston may not remain there indefinitely, with some family members advocating to bring her home, reported Radar Online.
On January 31, Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in her home, face-down in a bathtub. She was rushed to a hospital and treated for the lack of oxygen by being placed in a medically induced coma. However, as her condition stabilized, she was then transferred to the long-term rehab facility where she remains.
At this point, the 22-year-old’s prognosis remains grim. She still needs a feeding tube for nutrition and requires constant care for medical apparatus such as a breathing tube. But Whitney’s family thinks that surrounding her with a familiar environment might help reach through to the unconscious girl.
“They are planning to keep her in Georgia and possibly bring her back to the townhouse,” said an insider.
The townhouse is the home that she shared with Nick Gordon. But the source says it was also a home that Bobbi and Whitney shared together.
“If she’s alive, let her be home and surrounded by beautiful photos of her mom. It’s as good as it gets in such a bad situation,” added the source.
Bobbi Kristina’s aunt Pat and uncle Gary Houston are redoing the home to make it comfortable and cozy for their beloved niece.
As the Inquisitr reported, Bobby Brown was in charge of all of Bobbi Kristina’s medical decisions until a judge changed the situation, making him co-guardian with Pat Houston.
That means that if Pat wants to move her out of the long-term care facility, she will need to persuade Bobby that it is in his daughter’s best interests to let her go home.
The Houston family, including Cissy Houston, are closely knit, and Cissy blames Bobby for her daughter Whitney’s death, reported Entertainment Tonight.
It’s been three years since Whitney died. But Cissy thinks of her daughter daily.
“She’s my baby,” said Cissy softly. “I always wanted a daughter.”
And Whitney returned that love.
“When you need some strength, you go to mom and she fills you up,” said Whitney once. “She’s the best.”
But Cissy made it clear that she puts the blame for Whitney’s death on Bobby Brown.
“My baby tried. She did. She just had the wrong partner, you know?” said Cissy of Bobby.
“Whitney was a very soft and easy person… She was kind. She was free hearted. All of that, and sometimes people didn’t treat her nice.”
And now, after burying her daughter, Cissy is trying to stay strong in the face of her granddaughter’s failure to recover. Although she has been candid about the doctors’ verdict of Bobbi Kristina’s irreversible brain damage and lack of progress, Cissy also believes in God, as the Inquisitr reported.
And she’s made peace with whatever happens.
“She’s the same, she’s not progressing at all. Whatever the Lord decides, I’m ready for her… I have nothing to do with that. That’s His job. It’s His territory, you know? And I understand it.”
