Ian Somerhalder And Nikki Reed Already Facing Marriage Trouble Talk

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed just got married last month, but their friends fear that trouble is already on the horizon.

Ian and Nikki have been packing on the PDA, and their Instagram pages seem to provide plenty of proof that the newlyweds are smitten with each other. However, according to OK! Magazine, a few of their pals think that the couple moved too fast and that their relationship is just as doomed as a Nina Dobrev-less Vampire Diaries.

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed have only been a couple for nine months, so it’s not hard to see why their friends think that they rushed into things. A so-called “source from their inner circle” told OK! that Nikki has a habit of doing things on a whim, and the friend pointed to her quickie engagement to American Idol star Paul McDonald as evidence that Nikki is bad about moving too fast. According to People, Nikki and Paul got engaged after just three months of dating, and their marriage lasted just three years.

“She jumps headfirst into things and gets caught up in the moment,” the source said. “There are a lot of people who can see this ending in tears.”

The one who will probably be doing most of the crying is Ian Somerhalder. The source described Nikki as “a heartbreaker” who probably doesn’t understand “the sanctity of marriage.”

However, Ian Somerhalder is thoroughly enjoying life with his new wife right now. As the Inquisitr previously reported, they’ve shared plenty of happy Instagram snapshots of their honeymoon in Mexico with their fans, and they recently hung out with Ian’s Vampire Diaries costars Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin in Rio. Ian and Nikki are reportedly in the process of celebrating their marriage with an “extravagant trip around the world.”

While some pals think that Nikki Reed will break Ian Somerhalder’s heart, others believe that the Twilight actress and the Vampire Diaries star are a match made in vampire heaven. Nikki’s fellow former vamp, Ashley Greene, recently told People that she truly believes that Nikki has found the man of her dreams. Ashley also said that she doesn’t see anything wrong with Nikki and Ian rushing to the altar.

“I saw her at Coachella and she was just glowing, and now, I mean, I get why. She’s just so happy. That’s what you have to find in life and when you do find it, I think you should run with it and I think that’s what she did … When you know, you know.”

Ian also had a costar gush about how great he and Nikki are for one another. Kat Graham labeled the animal lovers “soul mates,” and she said that she can’t image Ian with anyone else (sorry, Nina Dobrev).
