‘The Flash’ Spoilers: Finding Eddie, Plus What To Expect In The Season Finale
The Flash season 1 is almost over, with only two episodes left, and considering what some of the other episodes this season were like – which could have been season finales on any other show – it’s hard not to be a bit worried about what’s still to come. It sounds like there’s reason to be concerned too.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Arrow (which has been teased for some time, spoiled what was to come for Oliver Queen to some degree, and now leads to the question about when this Flash episode takes place in relation to Arrow) and Firestorm will be teaming up with The Flash in the next episode to battle the Reverse Flash/Dr. Wells/Eobard Thawne. Watch the promo below to see all three in action.
You can also see Grant Gustin’s character suited up next Wednesday to help out those in Nanda Parbat in the Arrow extended promo for “My Name Is Oliver Queen” below.
One of the questions right now on The Flash is when the others will find Eddie, whom Dr. Wells/Eobard kidnapped. His descendant has been filling him in on the future a bit, from telling him that he’s a failure in the family to revealing that he doesn’t get the girl. He even showed Eddie the future byline reading Iris West-Allen. Basically, Eddie has been having a horrible time meeting his relative, but Rick Cosnett has told TVLine that the others will find him.
“I can’t say what state they find him in, or if they rescue him, but they do find him a very different man than what he was – than what we’ve seen til now at least. It’s a life-changing moment for Eddie.”
Wells took Eddie just as he was about to propose to Iris, but now that he knows that there’s a future out there where his girlfriend ends up married to Barry, will that change things? The actor teased that his character does have a decision to make about their relationship, and it is possible that he may not do what he would have done before he was kidnapped.
“He has to make a choice between doing the best thing for Iris and the best thing for himself. What has been so endearing about Eddie is we know that, usually, he will make a very sensible choice. He’s a bit of the voice of reason, I feel like, in a lot of senses. …But things have definitely changed. He’s been down in this dungeon for quite a long time, and he’s had way too much time to think and way too much time to change perspectives.”
Furthermore, Cosnett revealed that “there’s a big surprise coming up in the finale” and he is “a really big part of the whole process.”
Also coming up in The Flash season finale, airing May 19, is a look at some of the characters from the upcoming spin-off, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, as Comic Book Resources shared, thanks to a tweet from Ciara Renee, who will be playing Hawkgirl.
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
