ABC’s ’20/20′ Talks To Disassociated Polygamist FLDS Members: Sabrina Broadbent, Ron Rohbock, And Charlene Jeffs Tonight
ABC’s 20/20 will give updates on what life has been like for some former members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) since distancing themselves from the polygamist family. 20/20 will tell the stories of three individuals, Sabrina Broadbent, Charlene Jeffs, and Ron Rohbock.
According to ABC News, Charlene Jeffs, one of Warren Jeffs’ wives, left the organization and fought to get her underage children out of the polygamist home. She discusses how she was allowed to have a short supervised visit with her children, but one of the children became distant. She believed that her kids still loved her but were confused about whether they should have contact with her. She now has custody of two of the children.
Sabrina Broadbent fought hard to get custody of her four children when she left the organization several years ago. Finally, she was awarded custody but had to fight for them during an infamous standoff that lasted 15 hours, according to a previous Inquisitr report. Once the children were home with her, she said the real fight began.
Ron Rohbock hasn’t seen one of his daughters in 12 years since he was booted from the FDLS church. He was told that his daughter was living in a trailer in sub-par conditions as a punishment because she needed to repent for her sins. The FBI is keeping tabs on what is going on with her. Rohbock hopes to see her soon.
