Kelly Bensimon Discusses ‘RHONY’ Season Seven Appearances, Possible Full-Time Return
Kelly Bensimon appeared on the seventh season of The Real Housewives of New York City, and now, fans are wondering if they could see more of her throughout the series — and on the upcoming eighth season.
On May 8, Kelly Bensimon spoke of her Bravo return in a new interview with Fashion & Style.
“It was so much fun. LuAnn and I were at a book signing down at Omar’s, and she was like, ‘You should just come and see the girls, it’s a singles night and there will be tons of single guys,’ because she knows I’m single. So I said, ‘I’ll go with you and have some fun!'”
Although Kelly Bensimon was brought face-to-face with her former on-screen nemesis, Bethenny Frankel, at the event, she said she wasn’t nearly as freaked out by their run-in as Frankel seemed to be.
“I think Bethenny was a little put off. She came back and she’s been through a lot, and I think it was difficult for her to see me.”
When Fashion & Style asked Kelly Bensimon whether fans would be seeing more of her throughout season seven, she replied, “maybe, maybe,” and the same answer was given in regard to a possible full-time return during season eight.
“I love reality TV. The one thing that I never liked was I was always just the housewife who would walk in at the parties and nobody really knew my real life. I always say, and that it’s the truth, if I ever came back on any show – whether it’s my own show or ‘Housewives’ or any other show – I would want people to see my real life.”
Kelly Bensimon starred on The Real Housewives of New York City from season __ to season four, at which time she was released from her contract, along with Alex McCord, Jill Zarin and Cindy Barshop.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kelly Bensimon has spoken of a possible return to the show before, and earlier this season, as her episode aired, she was vocal on social media.
On Twitter, as Real Mr. Housewife reported, Kelly Bensimon tweeted, “Never say never. I like all the wives, I just don’t like bad behavior. I’m a midwestern mom #values,” and added, “No one creates better TV than Kelly vs. Bethenny.”
