Maci Bookout Memoir Update: ‘Bulletproof’ Coming This Summer
Maci Bookout’s memoir has been talked about for years. In fact, Bulletproof has been rumored to be in the works since Teen Mom was first on the air. However, many books from the stars came and with no word on Maci’s memoir. Fans were treated to a surprise on Thursday when it was announced that Maci’s book is available for preorder.
The cover of the book features Maci’s photo and looks similar to that of her co-stars covers. In fact, Maci’s book is being released by the same publisher as Kailyn Lowry, Amber Portwood, and Catelynn and Tyler’s books. Kailyn and Amber went on a press tour together to promote their books, so there is the potential for Bookout to go on a tour of her own in the future. Of course, that wouldn’t be until late this summer at the earliest considering the book won’t be officially released until July 21.
Maci Bookout tweeted about the release of her book as well as a link to preorder Bulletproof.
A summary of the book is also available on Amazon, but after reading it, fans may notice that it sounds different from the books that her co-stars have written.

Even as she rose to fame on MTV’s hit series Teen Mom, Maci was struggling to balance life as a single teen mom with her own hopes and dreams…all while honoring her own sense of independence.

The things that have made the other Teen Mom books wildly popular is that they offer a look into the lives of the stars prior to the cameras. Not only that, but most of them have offered details that the cameras didn’t show and talked about their upbringings. However, Maci Bookout’s book sounds like it will focus more on her life after she found out she was pregnant as a teenager. This isn’t to say, though, that she won’t include details that MTV didn’t show.
Starcasm points out that in a 2013 interview with DJ Malone’s Blogtalk radio, Maci gave a detailed description about her book and revealed some things that fans could expect from it.
“The book is a memoir on my life, basically from the time I was 15, before I even met Ryan, my baby’s dad, and it goes on into the years of Bentley being three and four. It’s kind of like everything that everyone saw from the time I was on 16 and Pregnant until Teen Mom ended. It’s all of my experiences and everything that I went through from my mind and my point of view, rather than what people may have taken away from seeing it through a camera or seeing it through a TV show.”
A new book isn’t the only thing going on in Maci’s life these days, though. The reality show star is currently pregnant with her second child and is due to give birth to daughter Jayde Carter in June. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, she may also be engaged as she was recently spotted wearing a sparkly ring at her baby shower.
Maci Bookout is currently appearing on Teen Mom OG on MTV. Although she threatened to quit the show when Farrah Abraham joined, she has since decided to stay, but has pulled her son from filming.
