Jessa Duggar And Ben Seewald Get Advice From Jill And Derick, Ask For Proof Of God
Jessa Duggar seems to be experiencing pretty smooth sailing so far during the first few months of her pregnancy, but her sister learned the hard way that you have to expect the unexpected when you go into labor.
TLC recently shared a clip that shows Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard giving Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald a little baby prep advice. In the video, Jill says that she plans on informing Jessa how she dealt with minor pregnancy side effects like morning sickness and food cravings, and Derick warns Ben to be prepared for the worst.
“I would just say to Ben, don’t get set on one plan. Don’t have certain expectations. Plan well, but don’t be disappointed when things don’t go the way that you foresaw them going when it’s not ideal.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jill Duggar’s dreams of having a home birth were dashed when complications arose that forced her to head to the hospital. The 19 Kids and Counting star endured 70 hours of labor, and she had to undergo an emergency C-section after it was discovered that Israel was in a dangerous breech position.
During an interview with People, Jessa Duggar revealed that Jill’s experience hasn’t scared her away from attempting to give birth at home, so perhaps she can borrow Jill’s unused inflatable birthing pool.
“We think we want to go with a midwife and plan for a home birth, but I want to just be prepared that not everything may go as planned and try not to get too worried about it,” Jessa said.
You can check out Derick warning Jessa that she does need to be worried in the video below. He and Jill also give Josiah Duggar a few courting tips. Since the 18-year-old is a Duggar, it probably won’t be long before he and 17-year-old girlfriend Marjorie Jackson will find Jill and Derick’s baby advice helpful, too.
“This could be you this time next year,” Derick tells the young couple.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jessa Duggar is currently a little over 100 days into her pregnancy. While the 19 Kids and Counting star waits for her bun in the oven to cook, she and Ben Seewald are continuing to travel all across the country. According to E! News, one of their most recent stops was the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) in Texas.
A Dallas Morning Newsreport on the Institute states that the researchers there believe that the Genesis creation story is literally true, they don’t believe in evolution, and they claim that “everything in the known universe began 6,000 to 10,000 years ago.”
“The rationale behind it is this: If God really does exist, he shouldn’t be lying to us,” CEO Henry Morris III said. “And if he’s lying to us right off the bat in the book of Genesis, we’ve got some real problems.”
The Institute aims to prove that the creation story is the gospel truth, and Ben Seewald got the opportunity to ask one of the researchers at ICR for proof that God exists. In the video below, Dr. Jason Lisle responds to Ben’s request by citing Bible verses, claiming that atheists don’t exist, saying that he doesn’t need to provide non-believers with any evidence that God exists, and stating that all the evil in the world is proof that God exists.
It looks like Ben might be on a bit of a crusade to try to convert atheists, but does his fellow believer help or hurt his cause? And do you think the awkward interview above is evidence that the wannabe preacher and Jessa Duggar are hoping to become the next Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker?
