Zayn Malik Vs. Louis Tomlinson: Sam Smith Throws Shade At Naughty Boy
Hopefully Zayn Malik wasn’t hoping to land a Sam Smith duet as one of his first solo gigs — it looks like the “Stay with Me” singer is on Team Tomlinson.
Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson recently destroyed Directioners’ dreams of a possible One Direction reunion by engaging in a pretty nasty Twitter fight, and Zayn lost quite a few of his fans after he and his BFF Naughty Boy exchanged words with Louis.
During the social media fray, many of the One Direction fans who turned on Louis proudly proclaimed that Sam Smith was on their side. According to Yahoo! Celebrity UK, these fans believe Smith was showing his support for Louis Tomlinson when he unfollowed Naughty Boy on Twitter and started following Louis.
this is the day we left zayn but we became sam smith af #TOMLINSONSLAYSAGAIN pic.twitter.com/ASy2Jd25ar

You do realize that Sam Smith just shaded Naughty Boy and Zayn all together by following Louis. I told you Sam Smith was an angel.

In case you’re curious, Smith is still following Zayn Malik. Smith was likely annoyed by Naughty’s boastful tweet about their collaboration on the hit song “La La La” — the record producer mentioned the tune in an effort to prove that he’s a more talented musician than Tomlinson. The entire Twitter exchange between Naughty Boy, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik is documented below. It started when Naughty upset One Direction fans by reminding them that Zayn is an irreplaceable member of the group, and it escalated quickly after Louis poked fun at Naughty’s choice of photo filter.

@NaughtyBoyMusic Jesus forgot you were such an in demand producer…. How does it feel to be riding on the back of someone else’s career?
— Louis Tomlinson (@Louis_Tomlinson) May 6, 2015
@Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine? — zaynmalik (@zaynmalik) May 6, 2015
@Louis_Tomlinson Yeah how does it feel mate? You’ve been doing that for the last five years… I’ve got Emeli Sande and Sam smith on my CV

@NaughtyBoyMusic good for you, well done!! I think we’ve done alright in terms of sales and I’ve happened to write on most. Keep trying! — Louis Tomlinson (@Louis_Tomlinson) May 6, 2015
Sam Smith hasn’t directly weighed in on the feud between Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Naughty Boy. However, the singer did recently make another very interesting social media move — he started following Noel Gallagher on Twitter. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Noel recently had some very harsh words for Zayn Malik. He labeled the singer a “f*****g idiot” for leaving One Direction, and perhaps Sam started following Noel on Twitter because he agrees with the former Oasis member’s assessment of Zayn’s career move.
Unsurprisingly, Naughty Boy didn’t agree with what Gallagher had to say.
@NoelGallagher will make up with his brother soon because they will need the money, let’s stop talking about f***in idiots mate lol #oasis

Many One Direction fans are probably starting to wonder whether Zayn Malik made the right move by ditching 1D for Naughty Boy, and Gossip Girl came up with a way to answer this question — the site analyzed Zayn’s number of Twitter followers after he got involved in the spat between Naughty Boy and Louis Tomlinson. Zayn lost 100,000 followers, and Louis gained 50,000. Judging from Zayn’s most recent tweet, he’s well aware that many of his former fans have turned on him.
Don’t know why I’m being attacked for defending myself, people got it twisted! I love my fans?! Every single one of you x

Do you think Zayn Malik will eventually regret leaving One Direction?
