‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers: An Unhappy Reunion And A Baby On The Way
HBO may have cracked down on Game of Thrones leaks after the first four episodes of the new season were posted before airing, but one Game of Thrones Instagram fan has posted a couple of short spoiler clips of the next episode, as reported by Huffington Post. It looks like Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) will be walked down the aisle by someone very familiar, and a baby is on the way for another character. Spoilers follow.
Sansa already has good reason to grit her teeth with her betrothal to the sadistic Ramsey Bolton (Iwan Rheon), son of the man who murdered her brother Robb (Richard Madden) at the infamous Red Wedding. One of the leaked Game of Thrones clips shows that Ramsey will insist on “Reek,” aka Theon (Alfie Allen), walking the bride down the aisle with his son. This being the same Reek who the Starks raised as their own, and the same Reek who then betrayed their trust by turning against them and taking the youngest Stark boys hostage, then faking their grisly deaths after they escaped.
Suffice it to say that most fans would be surprised if Sansa is happy to see her childhood companion, and vice versa. That will be a tense reunion, to put it mildly.
Previous episodes of Game of Thrones this season had already showed Sansa balking at the marriage itself, but agreeing when her benefactor, Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen), quietly whispered to her that it was her chance to avenge her family. Given Sansa has already suffered through the torments of her former fiancé, the assassinated King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson), she seems well-equipped to dive into some Game of Thrones style treachery and deception.
While Sansa seems like she can handle the curve ball coming her way, Reek may not hold up quite so well. He’s already avoided her this season on Game of Thrones, but there won’t be any hiding for him if he gives the bride away. The Boltons have definitely left no doubt with Game of Thrones fans as to how cruel they can be when you get on their bad side.
The other bombshell in the first posted Game of Thrones clip was that Roose Bolton (Michael McElhatton) and Walda (Elizabeth Webster) are expecting a baby, and if the TV version of Game of Thrones follows the book, Ramsey will be looking to eliminate any potential heirs besides himself. That’s presuming, of course, the baby is even born, because fans already know the Game of Thrones writers aren’t afraid to kill off mothers-to-be.
The second clip posted on the Instagram site has been removed, but Huffington Post reported it featured Jon Snow (Kit Harington), with Master Aemon (Peter Vaughan) giving him advice relating to the episode title, “Kill the Boy.”
“Kill the boy, Jon Snow. Winter is almost upon us. Kill the boy and let the man be born.”
