You’d think that a good place to share the message of the Bible would be in a church or Sunday school, but at a swingers club? But that’s exactly where a Florida couple is going to spread the good word.
As devout Christians, Christy and Dean Pareve have made it their mission to spread the message of the Bible. The two bodybuilders, who are also devout swingers, “ are using a highly unconventional method to spread the good Lord’s word,” says PopDust .
Dean and his wife, who met online and bonded over their love of the Bible and of bodybuilding, “believe they can use their myriad of ever changing sexual playmates as an opportunity to share the Gospel.”
The Pareves weren’t always swingers and admitted that it doesn’t necessarily correspond to the Bible’s message, but that it’s the perfect way to evangelize.
As seen on Barcroft TV, Dean has said, “ If I was a priest going to a swingers club , would you listen to me? You’ve got a better chance of listening to me spreading the word of God, being another swinger… it’s still a sin, it’s just, how are you using it?”
I think a better question would be if a priest was at a swingers club, is he really a priest?
Christy, though, agrees with Dean’s approach to spreading the message of the Bible, saying, “I feel like, right now, this is God’s plan.”
Dean then added, “Swinging to me started as a lifestyle. And then it was like, you know what? We can do a lot of good with this. Instead of just, like, you know, let’s just have fun with this… I’m getting to people who will never even visit a church.”
Dean, who PopDust refers to as the “promiscuous preacher,” tries to rationalize using swinging as a way to talk about the Bible by saying, “If all the swingers are sinners, what’s the best way to talk to the sinners? To join them, right?”
As Dean discusses the Bible with one of his possible swinging partners, the partner thoughtfully asks, “You realize that in the bible, there are so many gray areas. It says, ‘thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife,’ but, what if your neighbor wants you to?”
And while Dean is busy sharing the Bible with a myriad of partners, his wife questions whether or not it would be considered a sin.
“The bible doesn’t talk about swinging, specifically,” said Christy Pareve. “I just feel like, as a married couple, you agree on something together, then it’s OK. If it’s not, then, judgement day I will find that out.”
And while Christy and Dean may be under the impression that swinging is okay as long as you’re sharing the message of the Bible, I’m not so sure everyone would agree.
