Who Is ‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Ben Higgins, And Why Does He Look So Familiar?
Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe has 25 guys to pick from, but contestant Ben Higgins may be one name fans will hear throughout the season. How far will the 25-year-old business analyst go on the show, and why does he look so familiar? [Spoilers ahead]
The 11th season of ABC’s popular reality show premieres May 18, and 25 guys will choose between Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson. Reality Steve has already spoiled that Kaitlyn wins the role of the Bachelorette, and there are a number of fan photos on Twitter to prove it.
Kaitlyn’s one-on-one date with contestant Ben Higgins is on one of dates fans captured on camera early on in the filming process, with the handsome, Indiana native enjoying a day out with the Bachelorette in Austin, Texas. Ben apparently impresses Kaitlyn on the date — according to a previous report from the Inquisitr, he is rumored to be one of her final three picks.

One thing that is clear from the photos is that Ben is very tall. A post on the Bachelorette Fans message boards indicates that he is 6 ft. 5 in. tall — no wonder he towers over the very petite Kaitlyn. But that’s not the only thing that’s noticeable about the Indiana University grad — for fans who remember the Brady Bunch, Ben is a Peter Brady (Christopher Knight) doppelgänger.
According to Ink Free News, Ben attended Warsaw Community High School, served as ministerial intern at Warsaw Community Church, and graduated from Indiana University in 2012. He currently lives in Denver, Colorado and works as a business analyst for the software company Talisys.
Higgins has a Twitter account that was last updated in early March, just days before filming for the Bachelorette Season 11 started. There are several mentions of his ex-girlfriend, Shaelin Adams, still in his timeline, but it doesn’t appear that they are still dating — but don’t be surprised if the show’s producers try a “return of the ex” angle this season on at least one of Kaitlyn’s 25 guys.

The two-hour Bachelorette season premiere begins at 8 p.m. ET on May 18, followed by a one-hour show on May 19. Tune in to find out if Ben Higgins make it all the way to the final rose ceremony, or if Kaitlyn finds love with one of the other contestants.
