Eileen Davidson’s Husband On Her ‘RHOBH’ Return, Brandi Glanville, And Kim Richards
It seems as if the producers of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have already let the Season 5 cast, or at least some of them, know whether they will have a spot on the Season 6 cast. As reported by All About The Tea on Wednesday morning, Eileen Davidson’s husband, Vince Van Patten, spoke out about Eileen doing another season of the show while at the World Poker Tournament in Atlantic City. He also gave his thoughts on Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards, two co-stars with whom Eileen had quite some drama with on her premiere season.
When asked what else he’s doing, Vince brought up Real Housewives. From how he described it, Eileen, despite all the drama that comes with being on the show, likes doing it and has received word that she’ll be brought back.
“Well like you said we’re doing Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. My wife is doing 90, the majority of the work, and it’s been a trip. It’s been an amazing [trip]. Shot it over last summer. Looks like we’re gonna come back for season two for more punishment…She can’t sleep at night because she’s always worried what other people think and all that. And so do I but after a while you just gotta say, ‘What do we really have to hide?’ You’re just doing your best. And plus, we’ve been in this business for a long time. It’s an entertainment business. People say, ‘Oh why would you do that?’ And I say, ‘You know what? I’ve worked my whole life to be in front of the camera, to entertain people, to do something that goes to the next level.’ And it’s fun, it’s exciting and that’s why we’re doing it. That what we’re doing it for. We’ve got nothing to hide. And so far, so good.”
As for Brandi Glanville making it clear that she doesn’t think too highly of Eileen Davidson and Vince Van Patten being married to other people when they got together and calling Eileen a homewrecker, Vince commended his wife for sticking up for herself.
“Well Brandi’s got some, you know, crazy issues. You know she’s just a, she can’t, you know, she can’t shut up. She just says whatever comes out of her mouth. And I think Eileen really kind of put her down. Put her to shame, as she should, in a classy way. You gotta stand up for yourself after a while. In the beginning, she held back a little bit. But after about six shows she got in the swing of it and said, you know, ‘I’m taking the gloves off’…I don’t think we’re bad people.”
Vince also talked about the infamous poker party that he and Eileen hosted at their house for the housewives, during which Brandi Glanville and Kyle Richards got into a big fight over a very erratic behaving and incoherent Kim Richards, who later admitted that she took a pain pill. Vince called that event “the most insane” poker game he’s ever been in. Regarding Kim admitting herself to rehab, Vince said that she’s smart to do so and that he and Eileen wishes her well.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, executive producer Andy Cohen has said that he and the other decision-makers don’t make casting decisions “until the [prior] season is well over.” It’s been three weeks since part 3 of the Season 5 reunion show aired and two weeks since the “Secrets Revealed” episode aired. Perhaps Eileen Davidson and some of the other cast members really have already heard back regarding their Season 6 contracts?
