Wendy Williams and NeNe Leakes both attended Atlanta’s Ultimate Women’s Expo over the weekend, and the pair were immediately drawn back into their 2-year-old rivalry.
In fact, things escalated to such an extent that entourage members of the pair almost came to blows, and police officers needed to be called to the scene, while those in attendance also requested a refund due to the antics backstage.
According to Hollywood Life , members of the pair’s entourages faced off, and things became so heated that police officers were brought in to deal with the issue. And the entire issue was all because Wendy Williams’ dressing room was immediately next door to NeNe Leakes’.
When Williams arrived her husband, Kevin Hunter, noticed that the pair would soon be in close proximity, and he then instructed those in control of the event to move his wife away from her.
However, things soon went from bad to worse after Wendy Williams took to the stage to inform those in attendance of, “ten rules every woman should live by.” NeNe Leakes then followed and soon interjected with, “I’m your home girl. I live my life as an open book and I’m happy I don’t need ten rules to live by!”
After hearing this, Kevin Hunter immediately tried to join the pair onstage to stop Leakes from contributing to the discussion. Apparently Hunter remarked, “Ger her mother******* ass off the stage. We don’t f*** with her! Cut that b****’s mic off!”
But this didn’t stop NeNe from continuing with her diatribe, while it’s been reported that Diana Gowins, a close friend of Leakes, went toe-to-toe with Hunter and defended her pal.
Once Williams had finished speaking, and was partway through a book signing, Hunter made the duo leave. A source explained to the Daily Mail , “By the time Kevin and Wendy got through the other side of the curtains, the event organizers and security were waiting for them and four police officers escorted them off the premises and to their waiting car.”
However, NeNe Leakes explained while on Watch What Happens Live Sunday , via Radar Online , that she wasn’t aware of the incident until after it had concluded. “I didn’t even see Wendy or her husband today,” Leakes explained to host Andy Cohen.
Leakes continued, “A lot happened backstage with her husband, I heard. Just because I was on stage, he went completely crazy, I heard.”
Williams and Leakes were actually friends until July, 2013, when they had a huge falling out, which has since escalated on a few separate occasions across social media.
