When Season 11 of The Bachelorette premieres on Monday, May 18, viewers will see both Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe hoping to find love. Yet only one, the one picked by the majority of the men, will actually be the one to hand out the final rose. On Monday, host Chris Harrison showed that despite that format, both women were able to let loose and enjoy themselves, at least for a little while.
Chris posted a photo of him, Britt, and Kaitlyn making funny faces while filming the season.
On Monday, People published the first promo photos of Britt and Kaitlyn, both from Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor, as the Bachelorettes. While both women are wearing gray gowns, the dresses are very different in style and seem to reflect the different personas. Kaitlyn has on a sparkly, slinky gown while Britt has on a strapless ball gown. ABC’s press release for the upcoming season describes Kaitlyn as the “the gorgeous, fun-loving, warm-hearted, but irreverent firecracker” while Britt is “the charming, charismatic beauty.”
The first promo video clip for the new season, titled “50 Shades of Cray,” and which aired on ABC about two weeks ago, shows that there will be plenty of drama on Season 11 of The Bachelorette. In the clip, on night one, host Chris tells the 25 men that while there are currently two Bachelorettes, that’s about to change because there’s going to be a vote. It then teased that Kaitlyn is none too happy about having to compete with Britt by showing her covering her mouth in shock and declaring her unhappiness.
“I just don’t feel like this is how I should have to do it.”
Kaitlyn Bristowe has not been shy about letting everyone know that she would rather not share the spotlight with Britt Nilsson. When Chris announced that both Kaitlyn and Briss will both get the chance to find love, at least initially, and brought them out onto the stage during Chris Soules’ The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special, Kaitlyn proclaimed that the situation was “not ideal.”
In an interview with People afterwards, Kaitlyn repeated her less-than-total happiness with the process.
“I’m trying to be really positive about the situation. It’s definitely not ideal, but it’s an incredible opportunity. And if the outcome is me meeting the guy I spend the rest of my life with, then it is all worth it.”
Britt, meanwhile, acknowledged that she wasn’t the viewers’ top choice.
“I don’t know if they’ve ever had someone who has been controversial. I don’t feel like I did anything wrong, but people dislike me. I don’t really get that but it’s true. So I’m super grateful.”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Chris Soules, right after his Women Tell All special and before the announcement of the two Bachelorettes were made, said that he would choose Kaitlyn Bristowe over Britt Nilsson to be the next woman to hand out the roses because she’s “ready to get married and ready to be genuine and sincere about the journey.”
