Nikki Reed And Ian Somerhalder Double Date With His ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Costars Paul Wesley And Phoebe Tompkins In Rio
Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder were recently sighted enjoying themselves in Rio de Janeiro during their honeymoon tour, and they weren’t alone. The recently married couple are currently traveling the world and decided to bring along Ian’s The Vampire Diaries costar Paul Wesley and his significant other on their stop in Brazil’s famed city.
The two exchanged vows back in late April and have been traveling on an extended honeymoon ever since. While in Rio, things weren’t all fun and play as Ian had a CW meeting to attend, but he did manage to spend a little extra time with Wesley and his girlfriend, Phoebe.
Photos released by Hollywood Life show the foursome as they went about the city on a dinner date. These images weren’t the first to surface around the couple’s honeymoon extravaganza. Both Somerhalder and Reed were also spotted in Tulum, Mexico spending a little time on the beach.
Nikki Reed posted a few photos on Instagram while the two relaxed on the beach in Mexico. She captioned the photo with “Salty…sandy…sticky…sunburned. The best. I love this human. My human.” The photo shows the two lounging and kissing in the sun, clearly enjoying their time away.
Somerhalder and Reed married at the Tuscali Mountain Inn in Topanga California on April 26, 2015. In attendance at the wedding were a number of his Vampire Diaries cast members along with various family and friends. After the conclusion of the wedding, an inside source explained to Us Weekly that “Both of their schedules are pretty clear for a while. They’re planning an extravagant trip around the world.” So far, that’s exactly what they’ve done.
In addition to the Instagram photo of the two in Mexico and the Brazil pit stop, Somerhalder uploaded an image on Instagram showing himself sitting next to a Brazilian flag. “My Brazil right now…,” he noted in the photo, in which he appears to be on a boat somewhere in the ocean.

Somerhalder currently enjoys a role as a bloodsucker in The Vampire Diaries. In a strange coincidence, Nikki Reed, who has enjoyed success in the film industry, has also played a role in the vampire universe as an alum of the Twilight movies.
