MTV Star Amber Portwood And Matthew Baier Bought Gifts For Gary Shirley’s Baby Emilee

MTV star Amber Portwood and her ex-boyfriend, Gary Shirley, haven’t been getting along on the currently airing episodes of Teen Mom OG. However, when it comes to life away from the cameras, they appear to have settled their differences.

As the Inquisitr reported earlier, Shirley recently tweeted a photo of his new baby being held by the MTV star in the hospital.

“Thank you to @AmberLPortwood for picking up @leah_leann and holding the baby briefly! Kind of you!”

For years, the MTV star has been at odds with Shirley. Even when the two stars were dating, their relationship was often dramatic and at times even violent. On the new season of Teen Mom, Teen Mom OG, which was shot months ago, the MTV star and her ex-boyfriend have been seen struggling to co-parent, and Portwood has been seen growing frustrated by Shirley’s alleged mixed signals. On the latest episode of the show, Portwood confronted Shirley about what she deemed to be inappropriate text messages, and appeared to get her point across.

Still, not many saw the MTV star’s hospital visit coming.

On May 4, a source revealed information to Radar Online.

“Amber and Matt brought baby gifts and were excited to meet Emilee. [They] were both happy to hold Emilee. Amber, Kristina, Gary and everyone got along well, [and] Amber and Matt thought Emilee looked just like Gary!”

Following the end of her relationship and engagement to Shirley, the MTV star moved on with Matthew Baier, and the two quickly began filming Teen Mom OG together. Weeks after that, Baier proposed to Portwood, as fans recently saw on the show.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the MTV star recently opened up about having to be firm with her ex, Shirley, in regard to his text messages. During a Teen Mom OG: Featured Moment last month, Portwood explained.

“I was confused. I was sad. I was… I didn’t understand how he thinks. I couldn’t understand it. I wanted him to come over and I wanted to talk to him face-to-face, and say, ‘This is done. This has to stop. You know what you are doing. Lets just stop.’ And I think when I made that decision was after he called me crying. I hate that it took that to get it through his head, but I can say, though, that after that incident he finally kind of stopped.”
