Royal Baby Name: Charlotte Elizabeth Diana Is Princess’ Official Name [Breaking]
The royal baby has a name! Kate Middleton and Prince William have chosen the name Charlotte Elizabeth Diana for the new Princess Of Cambridge. According to the Mirror, the couple likely chose the name in honor of Prince William’s father, as it is the female version of the name “Charles.” The actual meaning of the name is “petite.”
Naturally, the name Elizabeth is in honor of William’s grandmother, the Queen. And the name Diana is in honor of William’s late mother.

The royal baby name was announced on Monday, just two days after the princess was born. According to the Telegraph, Charlotte was actually the name favored by bookies. The name is also very popular in general (non-royalty) and was listed as the 21st most popular baby name in 2013, and it continues to make “most popular baby name” lists year after year.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte are expected to spend the next several weeks at their country home in Sandringham. The new baby met family members at Kensington Palace on Sunday and will meet more members of the royal family at Amner Hall today and later this week.
