WWE News: Big Update On When WWE NXT Stars Charlotte And Finn Balor Will Hit The Main Roster

WWE NXT has been well received for over a year now. We know that the future is in NXT and everyone within the program has talent. Some have more than others, but the cool part is that we’re seeing greatness thrive. The NXT shows have been so good that they have made the main roster talent jealous, which is saying a lot. The only question fans have is when the best NXT stars will be part of the main roster.

That question may very well be answered soon.

We’ve seen the likes of Neville and Kalisto already make their main roster debuts, but the likes of Sami Zayn, Charlotte, and Finn Balor have yet to be seen. So, when can we expect them to be there?

According to Cageside Seats, WWE has taken longer than expected with many NXT stars but both Finn Balor and Charlotte are part of a short list that WWE will be bringing up to the main roster soon.

So, when can we expect them? The rumor was that it would be at some point this summer. We know that neither will come up until after the NXT Special airing later this month. That said, we shouldn’t expect any current NXT star to be part of the main roster until at least June.

While Finn Balor could wait to be part of the main roster, Charlotte is sorely needed in the Diva’s Division. The division has become stagnate with the same women being used. It has either been Paige, The Bellas, or Naomi for months now. AJ Lee was thrown in for a short time, but now that she is retired it has become a pretty stale division with no real direction.

If WWE does not want to use their other WWE Divas, then they might as well bring up a fan favorite from NXT in Charlotte who could be included in storylines immediately and bring the division up a level. From there, at least some fresh stories can come to a division that showed signs of life late last year and earlier this year.

Meanwhile, while Finn Balor can wait, he is of some need. WWE needs to use someone different that the UK fans can gravitate toward. One idea fans have discussed is either inserting him into the John Cena open challenge for the US Title or having him show up as part of the Sheamus storyline where he is taking out smaller guys. Since Balor is technically smaller than Sheamus, a rivalry with his fellow Irishman would be ideal for a first story on the main roster.

While both fan possibilities may never happen, they could be helpful in introducing such a unique character to fans that will love him once he makes his way up.

WWE has a good problem with having so many great stars, but clearly there is a need for some NXT talent to be brought up before they get too much older. Charlotte is near 30 and Finn Balor is near his mid-30’s. So now is the time to use them, as they have a smaller window than most coming from the developmental brand.
