Lindsey Vonn Splitting With Tiger Woods After Three Years: Skiing Champ Praises Golfer’s Kids, Blames ‘Hectic Lives’
Lindsey Vonn is splitting with Tiger Woods. The skiing pro and golfing champ chose Facebook to make the break-up announcement, reported the Daily Mail.
While they’ve built up terrific memories during their three years of dating, Lindsey put the blame on their busy separate lives. She also praised his family.
“I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart.”
As for her views on Tiger’s career, Vonn has faithfully supported his golf games.
“I love golf,” claimed Vonn semi-sarcastically during a recent visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers.
But Lindsey has regularly attended his tournament games, caring for his children and helping them caddy as Tiger competed in the Masters Tournament.
On the theory that turn-about’s fair play when both partners of a couple are involved in the sports world professionally, Tiger headed to Italy earlier this year to cheer for Vonn as she won the World Cup.
Woods also shared his views on the split, reported Fox News.
Rather than Facebook, Tiger used his Facebook page to explain why they broke up.
“Lindsey and I have mutually decided to stop dating. I have great admiration, respect and love for Lindsey and I’ll always cherish our time together. She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie and my entire family.”
It was a dramatic contrast to Tiger’s relationship explosion with Elin Nordegren, to whom he was married. When she discovered that he had cheated, she flourished a golf club to force him to leave their home. He then drove off in his SUV, an exit that ended in a highly publicized crash.
Is there hope that Tiger and Lindsey might get back together in the future? As the Inquisitr reported, Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart also had a highly publicized break-up that ended in a romantic PDA.
In addition, even though they claimed that they had split, hints surfaced that they had never actually broken up.They went to a magazine event as a duo, partied together at a gig, and she even let his dogs pay a visit.
