WWE News: Huge Backstage Update On Dean Ambrose Push, Other Talent Calling For The Lunatic Fringe Push?
There is a quote by Charles Darwin that goes like this, “a man’s friendships are one of the best measures of his worth.” WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose seems to represent this in various ways. Fans of all kinds have come out asking what the heck is going on with The Lunatic Fringe? However, it is not just fans that have called for justice with the Dean Ambrose character, it seems friends of Ambrose within WWE are calling for justice as well.
The lack of proper Ambrose use has not settled well with fans and talent alike, so what is to be done about this?
According to Daily Wrestling News, it was rumored at one point last year that Ambrose was in line for a push. This obviously never happened, yet Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns both were pushed ahead. Even Bray Wyatt saw more time ahead than Ambrose. In fact, Ambrose just recently won his first PPV match in nearly a year at WWE Extreme Rules.
WWE was heading the right way toward a push, but a U-turn in the intersection of story changed it all and saw Ambrose pretty much face off with random people. No real storyline has occurred with Ambrose since his initial run with Bray Wyatt in late 2014. Arguably, WWE dropped the ball on that entire storyline if you ask fans.
It is said that despite all of this craziness with Ambrose, he has not once complained about his position and has shown up each week to do whatever is asked of him. This is obviously a good thing if you’re a corporate type. However, many around him see that he is a legit star whose character has been given no direction.
Due to Dean Ambrose himself not complaining, several other WWE Superstars have complained on his behalf and have vocally expressed how the Dean Ambrose character is underutilized.
The Inquisitr reported a while back that Dean Ambrose could very well be the favorite to win the Money in the Bank case this year. While it was only a rumor, it had a lot of facts behind it. There is yet another rumor going around that due to the expression of people within WWE on his behalf, Ambrose could very well get a push this summer. It is not yet known to what extent, but a push at all or at least a top tier storyline would at least be something.
Dean Ambrose is starting to get Jeff Hardy-like reactions each week from the WWE fans. This is obviously being noticed by WWE, yet like with Hardy for some time, they have done nothing about it for quite a while.
For those that do not know the reference, former WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy was massively popular in his time with WWE. The problem was, WWE couldn’t push him to the top because of his drug history. Despite how much the WWE fans cheered, WWE did nothing for Hardy for years. Finally, after Hardy had stayed clean for a while, WWE finally gave him the WWE Championship. Two World Heavyweight Championships followed as well.
Unlike Hardy, Ambrose might act like he is on something but is as clean as possible. So, there is absolutely no excuse for WWE not using him. The reaction he gets from the crowd every week is terrific, and his talent in the ring and on the mic is as good or better than other top stars on the program. Yet he isn’t given a push or at least a direction as a character? All of this said, WWE appears to be trying to change things with Dean Ambrose after his PPV victory. We will have to see what comes of it.
