Ever since the semifinal match-ups were announced in the UCL draw fans have been anticipating the final that everyone is really hoping for, Real Madrid vs. Barcelona to close out an exciting season. But first Los Blancos must overcome a very motivated Juventus.
The problem is that Real Madrid is not 100 percent with Karim Benzema questionable, and Gareth Bale injured. However, the team seems to have rallied around its de facto leader, Cristiano Ronaldo, winning their last five La Liga matches. This past weekend against Sevilla, the Portuguese forward had a hat-trick and passed arch rival Lionel Messi of Bacelona in goals scored this season, giving Real a narrow 3-2 victory to keep them only two points behind Barca.
Ronaldo now has scored 42-goals to Messi’s 40, but this heated face-off is sure to continue until the end of the season. When you watch Juventus vs. Real Madrid live stream free you will see if Ronaldo can continue his streak and give his team the advantage before the second leg.
Both Real and Bacelona will be battling their foes Juventus and Bayern Munich on Tuesday and Wednesday to determine how things will stand for the final leg. Juve has yet again crowned itself Italy’s champions and are now focusing on the clash against Real, who they will host in the first leg of the UCL semifinal.
Manager Massimiliano Allegri barely had time to celebrate securing the Scudetto on Saturday in a 1-0 win at Sampdoria, the a goal by Arturo Vidal was enough to take the three points to take the title. But Allegri is conscious that his team is not a favorite to advance.
“It’s not every day you get to play Real Madrid, so we have to keep our heads to reach the final. If we don’t get there, it’ll be expected.”
Juventus will be missing midfielder Paul Pogba due to a hamstring injury which has sidelined him since March, according to Goal.com. In addition, Juventus — which is battling for their first title since 2003 — will not have the services of Kwadwo Asamoah, Martin Caceres, and Luca Marrone.
