Kenya Moore Tells Kandi Burruss To Move On From Phaedra Parks Friendship
Will The Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers see Kenya Moore taking Phaedra Parks’ place as Kandi Burruss’ good friend on the eighth season? As Part 2 of the Season 7 reunion show aired on Sunday night, Kenya posted a tweet, which she made sure to direct to Kandi, that pretty much told her to move on from her friendship with Phaedra.
Kenya praised Kandi as a friend and then told her that life goes on and to love those who love her back.
I wish I had more friends like @Kandi she loves hard and is the most loyal person ever. #LifeTwirlsOn Kandi. Love who loves you back #RHOA

During the reunion, host Andy Cohen brought up the state of Kandi and Phaedra’s friendship. Throughout the season, after NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams brought it to Phaedra’s attention, Phaedra admitted that she felt disappointed in Kandi as a friend. Phaedra said that as she dealt with the incarceration of Apollo Nida and the demise of their marriage, Kandi hasn’t been there for her as much as expected. Instead, Phaedra credited NeNe as being the one who has supported her the most during her difficult time.
Kandi first learned that Phaedra was upset from Porsha and NeNe. Andy asked Phaedra why she didn’t tell Kandi directly how she felt about their friendship. When Phaedra said that she did, Kandi chimed in that after their talk, she thought they were cool. Phaedra defended herself by saying that she never said anything bad about Kandi to Porsha and NeNe. That’s when Kandi broke down, making it clear how hurt she was at hearing some of the things that Phaedra said about her to the camera.
Kandi Burruss was especially hurt by Phaedra Parks forgetting everything that she has done for her and the fact that she was going through her own issues.
“Phaedra, when you sit up there on TV and was like, ‘Well she just lost a business deal… money can make me happy…,’ as if that’s the only thing that was going on… I told you about the prison situation with my other family member. And I told you what was going on. Even when I mentioned to her about the play being cancelled, she was like, ‘I saw that somewhere.’ It wasn’t like she texted me saying, ‘Girl I hate that that happened to you.’ So it’s just like to me, it almost ends up being like a lopsided friendship with you always expecting me to be here here here but you ain’t doing that. When she graduated, I blocked my calendar so that I could drive HOURS to see her and be there for her. And every time they [Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey and Claudia Jordan] say something, I always stand up for her. So to see her trying to play me like, oh all I cared about was money, I was like, ‘Really? Oh okay. Well you ain’t gotta worry about it no more.'”
While Kandi went on her tearful outburst, Phaedra nodded her head in acknowledgement and started tearing up herself.
Luckily for Kandi, she received a lot of of love from viewers. She tweeted thanks to all of her supporters.
Thank you to all my supporters who always send positive tweets & show love! @weheartkandi ? thanks… https://t.co/YsY9YUjIiA

So is Kandi Burruss’ friendship with Phaedra Parks, which lasted through several seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, truly over? As previously reported by the Inquisitr, when asked about a week ago whether she thinks they will be friends again, Kandi said “whatever” and admitted that she’s not sure if she can trust Phaedra again.
