‘Sister Wives’: Meri Brown’s Tweets Worry Fans, Spark Speculation That She’s Leaving The Show
Sister Wives fans might have even more drama to look forward to when the TLC series returns this fall. Last season, viewers were shocked when they found out that Meri Brown had legally divorced Kody Brown, her husband of 25 years. She insisted that she and Kody would remain spiritually married, but many fans speculated that Meri was taking the first steps toward leaving her polygamist family for good. Recent reports have taken these rumors a step further by suggesting that Meri might also walk away from the Sister Wives TV series to get a fresh new start alone.
According to SheKnows, Meri Brown’s Twitter behavior recently gave her fans cause for concern. The day after her 25th wedding anniversary, Meri’s tweets were tinged with sadness. Instead of celebrating her marriage milestone, the Sister Wives star posted a series of inspirational messages that seemed to suggest that she was struggling with something.

Meri’s only daughter has left home for college, and the empty nester has also decided to go back to school to study psychology. Now that Meri has the potential to completely support herself, her only real reason for sticking around on Sister Wives would be her love for Kody. And maybe her feelings for him aren’t as strong as they once were — after all, she’s spent less and less time with her husband over the years as he’s expanded his family. Kody currently has to divide his attention between four wives and 17 children.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, sharing her husband has taken its toll on Meri, and she’s even admitted that she questions whether he still cares about her now that he has three other women in his life. During the Season 5 finale, it was also revealed that she and her sister wives aren’t exactly BFFs — they only spend time together because of Kody.
According to the International Business Times, there are rumors that Meri Brown is going to leave Season 6 of Sister Wives. However, nothing has been confirmed by TLC, so this might simply be speculation based on Meri’s recent tweets. And perhaps the post-anniversary tweets aren’t quite as troublesome as they first appear to be — some of them seem to hint that Meri isn’t giving up on her marriage, even though she’s going through such a tough time.

During the Sister Wives season finale, Meri made it very clear that she wasn’t leaving the family — her divorce was a strategic move so that Kody could legally marry Robyn and attempt to become the legal guardian of Robyn’s children from a previous marriage. Meri’s 25th wedding anniversary was a reminder of the loss of her legal status as Kody’s wife, and perhaps thinking about what she lost simply put her in a melancholy mood. Meri never tweeted a word about her anniversary, but Kody did.
Happy 25th anniversary @MeriBrown1!! Let’s find all the magic we can in 25 more. I love you! #meri&kodysilver pic.twitter.com/icRmLkB7me

Robyn Brown also wished Kody and Meri “25 more amazing years” of marriage, so she doesn’t seem to think that Kody will have extra time to spend with her anytime soon.
