Justin Bieber Didn’t Invite Selena Gomez To The Mayweather-Pacquiao Fight
Justin Bieber has been named in a bogus report, which claims he has been sending mixed signals to his former girlfriend Selena Gomez and has invited the starlet and model friends Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin to watch the Floyd Mayweather, Jr.-Manny Pacquiao boxing match in Las Vegas, Nevada, tonight.
The Canadian previously revealed in an On Air With Ryan Seacrast interview that he will walk Floyd into the MGM Grand Garden Arena ring for the “Fight of the Century.”
But while boxing buffs and sports sites are focusing on who will be the victor at the face-off, the rumor mill has turned its attentions to the female company Bieber may have invited to the fight.
Hollywood Life, a notorious gossip website which topped Gossip Cop’s “Worst Outlet in Celebrity Journalism” tables in November, is once again claiming to know the private plans of Bieber and Gomez.
This is despite Gomez and Austin Mahone previously slamming the blog over fabricated stories.
The site claims Gomez has split from DJ Zedd, even though the pair never confirmed they were in a relationship. As is their wont, Hollywood Life continues its months-old narrative of painting Bieber as the nefarious tempter and Gomez as the damsel-in-distress.
It has claimed the 21-year-old has been sending the actress-singer signs that he would like to reunite. Supposedly, the Biebs’ attempts have been on and off, which has confused Gomez.
The following so-called quote is fan fic at its finest, but here it is.
“Selena is frustrated. She’s upset and confused with Justin’s mixed messages,” alleges a source. “One day he’s text flirting with her, the next day he’s nowhere to be found or heard from.”
The purported insider continues,”[Selena] said [Justin] mentioned the fight in Vegas this weekend between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, and then she heard nothing from him.”
In typical Hollywood Life fashion (see Bieber’s never materialized attendance at the 2014 American Music Awards, and a stack of other claims the site predicted that never came to pass), the site gives itself a get-out scenario by claiming Gomez had been thinking about going to the Mayweather-Pacquiao showdown with her former beau.
However, the site claims Selena was put off when Justin allegedly talked about inviting Kendall and Hailey Baldwin.
“Selena would have gone with Justin, but not with him, Kendall and Hailey,” an unlikely source explains. “There’s no way on earth that would ever happen.”
In addition to claiming Bieber, Baldwin, and Jenner have made a bet to have a three-way if Pacquiao wins the fight (this is the form Hollywood’s Life’s fantasies take), the site went on to contradict itself in another report by claiming Bieber has no intention on inviting any girls to Vegas. An alleged source told Hollywood Life that he intends to go solo so that he can be fancy-free.
“He hasn’t invited any of his girls yet because Floyd has told him that he will have his pick of the ladies at the fight’s after party. Floyd is convinced he is going to win and has told Justin to anticipate a long night with anything he wants.”
To put an end to the speculation, the Inquisitr contacted a Bieber source and asked if the singer invited or is thinking about inviting Gomez to the fight. The insider told us that there is “no truth to any of the claims” made by Hollywood Life.
The source declined to say whether Kendall or Hailey would be attending. But the social media feeds of the models do not indicate they have any plans to travel to Vegas.
As always, the Inquisitr urges pop culture lovers to consider the record and quality of any source before buying into unfounded, baseless claims.
To recap: Justin Bieber has not been sending mixed signals to Selena Gomez about the pair reuniting. Furthermore, he has not invited the Disney alum to the boxing fight.
