Duchess Kate And Prince William Greet Royal Baby Girl As Twitter Celebrates #RoyalBaby
Duchess Kate Middleton has given birth to a royal baby girl. As the royal baby watch ends, the royal baby girl name countdown begins. After all those days of waiting, Princess Kate gave birth at 8:34 a.m. this morning at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital after being admitted at 6 a.m., reported the Daily Mail.
Prince William was with his wife when she entered the hospital. Although much conjecture had taken place about a possible long wait before the world knew of the baby’s birth, Kensington Palace made the royal announcement at 11 am.
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am. The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news. At 33, Duchess Kate now has two children in line to the throne. Her new daughter is fourth, and although her parents have not yet revealed her name, it is known that she will be formally addressed as Her Royal Highness Princess (name) of Cambridge.
On Twitter, Kensington Palace sent out regular updates, starting with when Duchess Kate was in labor.
“The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge,” came the first hint that Kate would having her long-awaited royal baby.
“HRH The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00hrs to St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour,” wrote the Palace to instant #RoyalBaby hashtag excitement.
And as soon as the baby girl was born, the Palace revealed the news to the waiting social media world.
“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry & members of both families have been informed. The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.”
As the Inquisitr reported, both Princess Kate and Prince Charles had wanted a royal baby girl.
“I reckon Kate would love a little girl,” revealed one of her friends. “So I would be really happy for Kate if she did.”
And now that Duchess Kate’s wish has come true, Prince Charles also can rejoice with wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
“We’re hoping for a granddaughter,” admitted the father of Prince William and Prince Harry.
