Big Sean’s Breakup With Ariana Grande Not As Amicable As They Said

After releasing a joint statement, everyone knew that Big Sean and Ariana Grande were no longer an item, but it might not be as amicable a split as originally thought.

While a source told Us Magazine that the two were splitting because “conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year,” there appears to be a little more behind their split.

According to TMZ, there were a few reasons the musical couple split.

TMZ stated that Big Sean’s “Stay Down” caused some friction because Grande felt “like a piece of meat” and was “humiliated” with Big Sean’s lyrics. But that wasn’t all.

According to Christian Post, Big Sean thought Grande could be “selfish,” after she was a no-show for Big Sean’s House of Blues performance in West Hollywood. At the time, Grande was preparing for her big Grammy’s performance and was unable to attend.

Grande flipped the tables, though, saying that it was Big Sean who was “self-absorbed” claiming that her vocal coach “ordered her not to even speak for the rest of the day” because she had strained her voice shortly before her live Grammy’s performance.

And still, that wasn’t it either. Big Sean and the “Love Me Harder” singer had some issues with money, too. Big Sean has made claims that Ariana made him pay for “all sorts of extravagances.”

A source told the Christian Post, “He claimed once she demanded that he blow tens of thousands of dollars to take a private jet to see her. Sean, who grew up poor, felt she was a spendthrift … a sign of immaturity.”

And yet, once again, Ariana says that it was Big Sean who made demands of her with her paying for everything “including vacations and private flights.”

While Big Sean says he is the one who did the breaking up, a source told Hollywood & Life, “He’s really angry because when he broke up with Ariana, she didn’t put up a fight. She pretty much told Big Sean that she’s the one who wanted to break up.”

This isn’t the only problem Big Sean is facing either. Although his split from the “Problem” singer has taken front stage, there are still protests after Big Sean was invited to perform at Princeton University. Many students take issue with having someone they consider to be “misogynistic” and someone who’s lyrics promote “gender based violence against women,” according to the New York Times.

Ariana may have one less problem now, but it appears that Big Sean has plenty right now.
