Deschanel Home For Sale: ‘New Girl’ Star Zooey Puts Home On Market
Zooey Deschanel’s home in Hollywood Hills, California is up for sale and it is listed with a price tag of $2.195 million. The New Girl star recently bought a home in Manhattan Beach and thus is now looking to unload the property she has owned since 2009.
According to Variety, Deschanel bought the Hollywood Hills home for $1.65 million. It was previously owned by Mark Ruffalo, star of The Avengers. The property has 2,957 square-feet of living space that includes three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. There is also a guest cottage on the property.
The 1930s home has a step-down living room that features an exposed, vaulted wood ceiling, wood floors, and a fireplace. There is a formal dining room along with a television lounge that has another fireplace, deep green walls, and crimson drapes.
The kitchen showcases marble counters, wainscoting, blue and white tile flooring, and blue cabinetry. There are high-end appliances, of course, and the kitchen also features an informal eating area.
The home sits on half an acre of property. There is said to be no swimming pool, but apparently plans for one are available with the sale of the home. Deschanel’s house has manicured lawns, mature trees, a tall hedge, and electronic gates.
The New Girl actress is currently expecting a baby with fiance and producer Jacob Pechenik. The couple recently purchased a Manhattan Beach home for $4.6 million. It’s clearly been a whirlwind year or so for Deschanel. As People previously reported, Zooey and Jacob started dating in mid-2014 and announced both her pregnancy and engagement in January.
This will the first child for both Deschanel, 35, and Pechenik, 42. The couple has shared that they are waiting to be surprised by the baby’s gender. There’s a lot of fun ahead for the Deschanel family, as fans know that Zooey’s sister Emily of Bones is also pregnant.
E! Online reported that Emily and her husband, David Hornsby, are expecting their second child. They already have a 3-year-old son, Henry. It seems that the two new Deschanel babies are both due during the upcoming summer.
In addition to moving and having her first baby, the Los Angeles Times notes that Deschanel is starring in the upcoming movies titled Rock the Kasbah and The Driftless Area. As was recently reported by the Inquisitr, New Girl has also been renewed for another season. Fans are thrilled that things are going so well for the actress, and many will be anxious to hear details when Zooey Deschanel’s baby arrives.
