Brooke Baldwin: CNN Anchor Blames Military Veterans For Baltimore Riots [Video]
As of late, the media has been concerned about the latest happenings of the Baltimore riots. The latest in riot-related news, according to the Inquisitr, is a report claiming that the Bloods and Crips, two rival gangs historically known to hate each other, have teamed up in light of the riots. Apparently, there are two clashing reports in which the gangs are either joining forces to “take out cops” or teaming up to rebuild the community.
The media are also picking their sides pertaining to the Baltimore riots. And now, Brooke Baldwin, an anchor for CNN, has made a statement that military veterans are to blame for the Baltimore riots.
According to Breitbart, Brooke Baldwin has blamed American military veterans for the Baltimore riots, all in relation to their reported statement of CNN writing hysterical, and oftentimes phony, stories of American racism. The accusations were made in light of an interview Baldwin had with Elijah Cummings, Democratic congressman for Maryland’s 7th congressional district. Baldwin’s statement in question is the following.
“I love our nation’s veterans, but some of them are coming back from war, they don’t know the communities, and they are ready to do battle.”
Summarized, Brooke Baldwin is stating that military veterans are coming home and joining police forces without assimilating to handling civilian or domestic disturbances. By saying the veterans are “ready to do battle,” Baldwin is backing the view that veterans who are police officers are jumping the gun in skipping diplomacy with citizens.
Despite the fact many conservative sites constantly brand CNN a “Democrat/Liberal news channel,” many people — either they be Democrat, Republican, Liberal, or Conservative — have taken offense to Brooke Baldwin’s statement, as reported by GOP Daily Dose. Ergo, Baldwin first tries to justify her statement, asking people to not misunderstand her.
Folks. Please don’t misunderstand me. Dear friends/family of mine are veterans. I was repeating a concern vocalized to me lately. That’s it.

Eventually, Brook Baldwin stops justifying herself and eventually apologizes for what she said about veterans, two hours after the above tweet.
I am sorry for what I said earlier about veterans. It was wrong and I apologize to anyone who was hurt by my comments.

Even though Brooke Baldwin has officially apologized publicly on her Twitter, there are some — mostly of a Conservative mindset and stance — arguing that Baldwin needs to offer an on-air apology. As a matter of fact, some are even calling for a full retraction.
