‘Halo 5: Guardians’ Cover Art Revealed

After over a week of waiting and scouring the internet for official clues, fans have managed to piece together the cover art of Halo 5: Guardians. Not very long after, Microsoft released the official cover art on their blog, as well as releasing an animated version of the cover art in order to show off exactly what was happening as the Master Chief goes head to head with Spartan Locke, both seemingly having a team of Spartans on their side.

“Microsoft have said that the hunt for clues for the official cover art was a continuation of the #HUNTtheTRUTH marketing campaign for Halo 5: Guardians. As a continuation of the #HUNTtheTRUTH campaign that has captured the attention of fans through multiple live-action trailers (“All Hail” and “The Cost”) and an episodic audio series available on HuntTheTruth.tumblr.com – Xbox fans around the world came together to reveal the cover art for Halo 5: Guardians.

Last week, several cryptic images were released to various online channels across the globe…no instructions, no explanation, no references to the Halo universe. It didn’t take long forHalo Nation to scour the Internet to piece together the mystery to reveal the cover art forHalo 5: Guardians. Today, we’re proud to release the final cover art for Halo 5: Guardians, including a special video version that highlights the Spartan fireteams that play a crucial role in the showdown between the Master Chief and Spartan Locke.”

In regards to who exactly the so far unnamed Spartans in the cover art are, Microsoft have said that that will be revealed at E3 2015.

“Who are these Spartans? This and many more mysteries will be uncovered as we draw closer to the world premiere of Halo 5: Guardians at E3 2015. Join us as we #HUNTtheTRUTH.”

Microsoft also took to the official Halo Twitter account in order to unveil the animated cover art.

Halo 5: Guardians is currently available for pre-order, although it isn’t due to be released for another couple of months. Those that pre-order Halo 5 from GameStop will gain access to Spartan Locke’s HUNTER-class armor for use in multiplayer.

“HUNTER-Class Armor: Sophisticated and lethal, HUNTER-class armor incorporates Watershed Division’s latest warfighting technology.

HUNTER-Class Helmet: Though still considered a prototype implementation, the HUNTER’s sensor suite enhances situational and threat awareness.”

Halo 5: Guardians is set to launch on the Xbox One on October 27.
