Kathie Lee Gifford ‘Shocked’ By Bruce Jenner’s Confession

Kathie Lee Gifford said that she was “shocked” by Bruce Jenner’s confession that he identifies as a woman. According to Page Six, Gifford and her husband, Frank, have been friends with Kris Jenner for many, many years, and have also been friend with Bruce. The Today Show host implied that she never saw any signs about who the real Bruce Jenner was over the years, as she insisted that she “never saw this coming.”

“We all want to know how to go forward. We all want to love him through this and we also know there are children who … have to learn how to deal with this. If you can imagine the surprise … How do you deal with that? The way you do, ultimately, is when you put love first and try to put yourself in someone else’s high heels, I suppose. Louboutins, in their case,” Gifford said.

Kathie Lee said that she had a conversation with Bruce before Friday’s interview, and she says that she is glad that she did. She also said that the things that she and Bruce discussed will remain private.

After the Diane Sawyer interview, Gifford publicly tweeted her support.

According to WebProNews, Gifford praised Bruce for being brave, and really thinks that he’s doing the right thing by opening up about what he has gone through, and what he continues to go through.

Since Bruce Jenner’s interview, there has been a lot of backlash. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, blogger Matt Walsh wrote a lengthy post published on the Blaze about Jenner, which has gotten tons of attention on the internet.

“Bruce Jenner has a male anatomy, male chromosomes, male DNA, male hormones, a male bone structure, and male reproductive organs. He is a male. He can never be anything but a male. He is not a woman ‘for all intents and purposes,’ for the same reason that I am not an antelope or a pine cone for all intents and purposes. Indeed, it is specifically my ‘intents and purposes’ that make me neither a pine cone nor an antelope and Jenner neither a woman nor ‘transgendered.’ “

Although Kathie Lee, and many other close Jenner pals, are completely supporting him, there seems to be this ongoing debate about what’s going on with him, and his decision to transition to a woman. What are your thoughts on the matter?
