Kandi Burruss Says ‘Whatever’ To Being Friends With Phaedra Parks Again, Says There’s No Trust

Viewers may soon see Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks battling it out on Parts 2 and 3 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 reunion show. In an interview with OK! Magazine prior to the airing of Part 1 of the reunion show on Sunday night, Kandi made clear that she’s none too pleased about Phaedra continuing to put it out there that she hasn’t been a good friend to her lately. Kandi accused Phaedra of lying at the reunion about not having seen her for months.

“So during the reunion she makes a statement, I don’t know if they’re gonna show it or not, she makes a statement, ‘Oh you went months without talking to me.’ I’m like, ‘That is a lie.’ It really bothered me when she said that so I went back to like think back right? Last year was my wedding. She was in my wedding. We was talking the whole beginning of the year. My wedding was in April. After that she had her graduation in Alabama that I went to. Um, in May my birthday trip, she was with us on a vacation in California in May. Then we went on a vacation for Fantasia’s [Barrino] birthday in June. In July we started taping. And when we were taping we had to see each other every few days. So when did I go months without talking to you?”

Kandi Burruss also expressed disappointment that Phaedra Parks didn’t immediately talk to her about her feelings about their friendship. Kandi said that whenever they talked or saw one another, Phaedra never once said anything about feeling let down, so when she first heard from NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams that she and Phaedra needed to work out their issues, she automatically assumed that NeNe and Porsha were just trying to start some drama for The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Kandi expressed shock over later seeing Phaedra crying on TV about her not being a good friend to her.

When asked if she thinks that she and Phaedra will be friends again, Kandi expressed ambivalence. She said that she’s not sure she can trust Phaedra again and pretty much admitted that their friendship has not gone back to what it once was.

“Whatever at this point. It’s just like this weird trust thing with me now. I’m like, ‘Can I trust you? Do I know what you’re saying is true?’ You know what I’m saying. So I’m just kind of like okay…You know I’m cordial to everybody. You know… but to go above and beyond is just…”

Yet Phaedra Parks seems to believe, at least she did in mid-March before The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 reunion show filmed, that she and Kandi Burruss are fine. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kandi wrote in a blog post that she doesn’t think that she and Kandi have any issues with one another.

“Kandi and I are very close friends, and I would like to think we are still close… I don’t think Kandi and I have any issues. I was just disappointed she wasn’t more present during the time I really needed her. Kandi is a good person and I will always love her.”
