Sister Kathy Hilton Tweets Support For Kim Richards While Daughter Brooke Posts Sweet Throwback Photo
One person who apparently supports, and perhaps helped bring about, Kim Richards’ stay in a rehabilitation facility is Kathy Hilton. After news broke on Saturday that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star had checked herself into rehab for substance abuse, sister Kathy has continuously retweeted supportive and loving tweets from Kim’s fans.
Kathy has not tweeted directly about Kim’s latest stay in rehab, but instead has retweeted tweets from fans wishing Kim and the family well. Kathy also retweeted a link to E! Online‘s article about Kim’s decision to enter rehab.
According to the E! Online article, Kim finally decided to go to rehab because she didn’t want to go to jail after her recent arrest. A little more than a week ago, Kim was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge after allegedly causing a drunken scene and refusing to leave. She then allegedly kicked a police officer at the local jail. She was eventually booked for trespass, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer, and public drunkenness.
Kim’s decision to return to rehab comes just days after a tense interview with Dr. Phil for his show. During the interview, which will air on Tuesday, Dr. Phil confronted Kim about possibly lying to everyone all these years about her sobriety.
“Are you living a lie telling everybody, ‘I’ve been sober for three years?’ You are drunk in a bar fighting with a cop. That is not good mothering.”

The Daily Mail posted more details about the interview, revealing that Kim explained that she drank some vodka at her daughter Brooke’s house and, realizing during the drive home that she had relapsed, pulled into the Polo Lounge simply because she, as someone whose former in-laws owned the property, knew she would be comfortable there. Once there, she started talking to a woman she thought she knew. She admitted that she doesn’t remember much from the night. When Dr. Phil questioned her story and suggested rehab, she stormed out.
Three of Kim Richards’ children, including Brooke, were present at the interview to support her. Kathy Hilton was also photographed outside the hotel where the interview took place.
On Thursday, Brooke posted a throwback photo of herself with her mom. The photo, taken in 1995, shows her as a young girl hugging her mom while standing before Paris’ Eiffel Tower.
TMZ, who was first to break the rehab news, reported that Kim is currently in a live-in facility in Malibu and made the decision to go after consulting with her family. According to a source, Kim will stay at the facility “as long as it takes.”
So far, Kim Richards’ other sister and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Kyle Richards, has stayed silent on social media regarding the rehab news. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Dr. Phil said that viewers will see him and Kim discuss her relationship with Kyle during the episode. Dr. Phil added that the two have “not been in a lot of contact” but that they “did have some contact with regard to [the arrest] event.”
