Carrie Underwood Gives Brad Paisley Birthday Surprise

Carrie Underwood surprised a friend of hers recently, a much known friend, especially in the country music world. It was a special birthday surprise for Brad Paisley, who was performing in Knoxville, Tennessee on his Virtual Reality tour. So how do you make secret plans for a surprise in 2012 if you’re a celebrity? You tell the twitter world first of course! A few hours before Carrie headed to Brad’s concert, she tweeted out to her followers, “In a sneaky mood tonight…Stay tuned.”

Carrie and Brad are not only close friends, but they’re also label mates with a hit song entitled “Remind Me”, that the pair put out just last year. Every night, while on tour Brad is sure to sing part of the duet, and in Carrie’s absence, he plays a video of her performing her part. Well, little did he know this night would be quite different.

Carrie must not have had a problem with the 3 hour distance from Nashville where she resides, to the Thompson-Boiling Arena in Knoxville. The ‘Good Girl’ singer was already in the building when it came time for Brad to perform the smash hit, and she popped on stage to join, shocking both Brad and the crowd.

After the show, Carrie tweeted “Had so much fun tonight surprising @BradPaisley — Thanks Knoxville!!” The “Old Alabama” singer also took to his twitter, posting “Coolest thing that’s happened this tour!” He also added a photo of the two on stage together. Safe to say, it was definitely a good birthday for the country superstar.
